Last week, we returned from a 2000+ mile trip through KS, Colorado and NM. The rack, which Ron designed and had built a bit before racks came into their own, has been strong and solid. The 650 Suzuki Dual Sport weighs about 350 lbs. We also have a 6x10 enclosed trailer, in which we haul the dresser and the dual sport at times

Rev,
I missed the Rad bike deal, but have 2 new Sonders fold X on the way. Thank you for the lead. They look really solid. I am going from the xtreme trail maker 24v 250 motor to 48v 500. Have had the other bikes for 2 years and love them.

Sounds exactly what I did. The torque and power is incredible compared to the 250w.

Join the SONDORS Facebook Owners Group. The group is Great like this one.
We are 100% Happy with our bikes great quality & price. You bought a Winner.
I am on the waiting list for the SONDORS ELEC. CAR. Safe Travels Rev. !

Smile They are dangerous!

I had a 150cc scooter, made in China, they are not very well made, had to buy a new carburetor every 6 months, brakes would grab, especially the front, would try to throw you off. Battery would last maybe a year, they like to wobble at speeds over 35 mph. My neighbor ran into me with his golf cart and threw me off he keep going and ran over me, my coat got caught on his under carriage and he drug me down a gravel road for about 30 ft. That was the end of motor scooter for me, three broken ribs, cuts and scrapes, not to mention the bruises, still kicking it’s hard to keep a 72 year old man down.

It sounds more like the kid-driven golf cart, was the one that was dangerous.

Could someone who has the Sonders Fold X tell me the dimensions when folded? We tow a 5 by 10 cargo trailer with our airplanes and I'm curious on how much space I would lose.

2nd question: E-bike vs. scooter(s) for sightseeing in national parks, running out to dinner, etc.

Save yourself $500 per bike and get the Lectric XP: basically the same specs but comes with fenders and a rear cargo rack. Plenty of Youtube videos on them.

So Sondors and Lectrix offer 500W motors... Rad offers 750W and option of step through design and removable battery... but at a premium... Though they did run a significant Cyber sale around Thanksgiving last year... Decisions, decisions... lol

I do have Scooters and Elec bikes. Only travel with Elec bikes now. My reasons, Weight and Size significantly smaller and lighter, do not need Insurance, Licence Plates, Special Licenses or Motorcycle Endorsements, (even tho every person in Family has one) No special age factor if you have younger kids. Quietness in the Parks many are riding bikes you fit right in. You can pull up and park an E bike anywhere no need for parking spot. The distance on a charge is ridiculous. The effortless speed and the enjoyment being closer to the Action wherever you go is amazing. You can charge easily at motorhome. Do not have to carry extra fuel. Everyone Loves riding them.

I think they all have a removable battery; I know the Lectric does.

Bike racks and covers

Well we decided to get a pair of full size non-folding E-bikes since we could get them at my daughters employee price.

https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/lafree-eplus-1

I'm interested in recommendations for a plug in bike rack I could mostly use with my toad's trailer hitch. Several racks I've looked at have said NOT to use them on a towed vehicle. Not sure why?

WOW! I hope she had a 70% employees discount!

Not 70% off that's for sure. Still a good deal on great bikes.

We talked about the folding and non-folding with small 20" wheels and they see a ton of them in for repairs at the shop. They just don't stand up to a lot of miles. These ride really nice too.

If the bikes are under 50lbs each try this thing. Perhaps there are similar items that’ll handle more. Poke around on etrailer’s site.

Good luck.
