Having lived with our class C for a year I find myself looking at features of floor plans more than brands. It seems more and more like we need something in the 29-30 foot range to get a bedroom layout that fits our needs. That pushes us more toward a gas class A to avoid the big rear overhang of a 30' C if we were to upgrade.
But dang it sure is fun to look at Foretravel's website. Think I'll run out and buy a lottery ticket!

Well our "spring" (late winter?) RV show is coming up in a couple of weeks. Yes we're going
I don't really wander around the truly "big" rigs--I may pop my head in one just to look but usually the ones I pop my head in to are so over the top opulent that they clash with my practical side (if that makes any sense).

Ours too Jamie, early Feb for us. We'll be looking at the new 29-30 footers as always. And then planning on enjoying our current 26 ft in the spring, LOL.
Thanks Bob, that sure would change my agenda when we go to the show.

More than "half the fun" viewing the giant million dollar rigs is to snap pictures of oneself sitting comfortably in them with a big cheesy smile.......... then texting the kids "I'm blowing your inheritance!"

We always loved looking and dreaming about the "next/better" thing and spent years working our way up to our first trailer, then gas RV (ACE 29.2) and finally our Palazzo 33.2
I must say this is the first time we have had nothing but positive feelings about every aspect of the RV (except for usual new RV pains, which are minor in comparison, so far...) and the first time I stopped looking for what's next or better.
We enjoy every aspect of the trip (prep, drive, destination) more than ever. We still enjoy seeing others rigs and features or mods.

I'm not exactly sure about that...
The Missus has fallen into the habit of watching re-runs of "Mama's Family, The Jeffersons, M.A.S.H.", and "Hogan's Heroes"

Sort of like us. My wife always thinks I am never satisfied. It's not that, but needs and abilities change. I have fond memories of the kids in a tent on an island and a boat that barely ran. Then a pop-op. Then better boats. Finally a 23' TT. She finally agreed camping was fun with that one. Those 4 kids kept growing, so we got a 37' TT. That things was fantastic. Until the only time we saw the kids in it was as tag-a-longs for fun.
Last straw was 4th of July 2 years ago. Whole family came to the camp and brought friends. Wife had to get back for work sooner than I did. But next thing you know I look up, and I am all alone to pack up 4 days worth of camping crap. Then as I am breaking things down up comes a thunderstorm. Everything is soaking wet thrown into the bed of the truck. Wet dog up front.
As I struggle to get the TT ready to roll the old guy next to us comes out with his wife. She holds the umbrella as he unhooks the power cable to his Class A and tosses it in the box. He comes over to see me and complain about the weather as his wife goes inside and pulls in the slides, retracts the jacks, and starts the engine. Off he goes with damp shoes down the road. I stand there looking at my big, beautiful TT in the rain and think...SCREW THIS!! I started shopping for Cs and As.
Got us a nice little C last spring with a full wall slide that opens up enough to dance. She and I and the dogs have plenty of room, and now we never have "guests." I mean...no room, right?!? But I will be going to the RV show here on the 17th assuming the winter storm doesn't keep me up north. We may have grandkids in the next few years. So a 32-ish' A might be just the right thing then. But right now I love this C. 10k miles in the first year

Our camping friends would be enjoying drinks while watching the show of me setting up (or tearing down) our 32' (37' tip to tail) and I tired of it too. I think 32' is the right size (minimum) for an A, as our ACE 29.2 was just a little tight after awhile. Even our 8 year old grandson had to walk sideways past the end of our bed to get to "my side" after which he asked my wife, "do you make grandpa do this?"

Absolutely love the short "trip" now between arrival and enjoyment, and it's a competition between our friends who can set up first. The "winner" must bring a consolation beer when they come over to gloat.

Hey, looking at new mhs is like looking at good looking young men...I may be married, but I'm not dead. BTW, love my DH and love my Challenger, not looking to trade either one. ;-)

While looking at "good looking young men" isn't a favorite pastime of mine...

When we first retired we started off with a 32' Allegro Bus and then moved up to a 38'. We wintered in Florida and Texas and Arizona and played tourist all over the Easter US and Canada.
But then we decided that what we really wanted was a home in FL and did that for a decade. Two years ago we bought our Vegas and have done some traveling and now we've sold the home in FL and are looking at snowbirding in a MH again and doing more traveling.
Having had the Tiffins and now the Vegas, we're happy to 'settle' for an ACE or maybe a Hurricane. They accomplish the same thing the more expensive rigs do and we can use the money we save to travel more. Be happy with what you've got.

My story exactly!! During that same moment with the previous TT, the wife asks, "why can't we get one of those...that was cool?". Happy Wife...Happy Life!!

Does anybody else do this
WE used to go tot he shows and went from tents to truck campers to TT to 5th wheel and now to the Palazzo DP. Spent lots of time watching Going RV or Big Time RV to get ideas on what we wanted. Then went to the saving account and figured out that a Tiffen was not in the budget, nor were the other 3-5k units! We have not had the Palazzo very long (October) and only taken 2 trips! I'll tell you this i used to be the one saying "give me the glits" but now I just want to travel and enjoy the ride I have! We retired and now have to get the value out of the coach and out time! We like others think - how nice something else would be - but after surviving one heart attack, you get a better perspective!
