Fall Sunshine Thor Rally

Are you comfortable with a new normal style fall rally? Covid 19 squashed the spring rally, and now some folks are ready to gather again. So we plan and pray. Should you decide to come, you do so at your own risk.

We'll respect social distancing and expect those who are sick or high risk will stay away. Our rallies have all been low key with minimal programming and entertainment, but no rally fee! This one will offer even less programming than before. No guest speakers are expected.

Join us at Compass RV Resort in St Augustine on Wednesday, September 30th for four nights at a special rate. The Address is 1515 Fl 207, St Augustine 32086. We had our last fall rally there and everybody loved it.

To reserve your spot, call 904-824-3574 Sunday through Thursday between 8:30 and 4:30 and ask for Barbara. She is our rally reservation person. Some folks may come earlier and some may stay later. Barbara will go over the rate and the deposit. A few have already reserved.

Mostly it is a time to meet forum friends, make new friends and compare stories of equipment, mods and travels. When you reserve, please post or send me a private message, so I have a rough count.

Wish we could attend since it sounds like fun but we have other plans at that time. When is your rally in the spring?

Wayne and Elaine, looking forward to seeing you in St Augustine. We're going to have a much smaller than last year. Maybe we'll do a beach party! (Socially distanced, of course!)

The spring 2021 rally isnt set yet, will possibly be the first or second weekend in April.

Just a reminder, in case some folks missed the earlier announcement. It promises to be a small group in St Augustine. We'll have some fun with those who decide to join us.

We certainly understand those who are exercising caution and skipping this one. The campground has implemented some measures to help with safety and we will be social distancing.

Future rally plans will be posted here a few months ahead. Past rallies have been in mid-April and early October. Those dates are generally outside of the snowbird invasion, and the weather has been great at those times.

Still time to plan to join us in St Augustine in just two weeks!

It's this week! The 2020 fall rally starts Wednesday in St Augustine. Compass Resort will have a few activities that we can join in and there is a free shuttle to the trolley that takes you around St Augustine all day. It's not far to the beach, too. We will have use of the meeting building if needed.

We may have our smallest group yet. That means it will be easy to maintain safe distances. The weather forecast is terrific, perhaps the most ideal of any of our rallies to date.

It's not too late to make a reservation. We welcome drop in guests who come without an RV, to join in at any point. Just bring your chairs and a good attitude!

We'll miss seeing our friends from past rallies, hope you can return for the spring gathering in April. (Specifics to be announced later.)

An elite group of us are enjoying perfect weather in St Augustine. Some of us have been to the beach, some have been downtown, and last night we shared a pizza from a place that was rated #2 pizza in the country in 2015! It was pricey($34!) but huge and one piece was enough for each of the 8 of us.
So we have 4 rigs, the smallest Sunshine rally ever, but we are having a great time together. Stay tuned for our spring plans.
