Photos for memories

RVers see a lot of different places and different things while traveling down the roads and highways.

I’ll start this off with a well known picture taken in my home state, SC.

This is the Gaffney, SC peach found near I-85, Gaffney, SC. It was made famous in the NETFLIX TV series House of Cards.

NC Welcome I-40

When traveling east on I-40 entering NC there is a NC welcome center/rest stop. It was the right time of year and we got lucky, this parking spot was open.

Enjoying the photos. I save mine all in a very large format and the app won't automatically resize them to the max 1200x1200

I don't like to have to save them and then resize to post, any thoughts on a work around that don't involve so many steps?

We toured several of these a few years back. If I recall there's like 20 of them you can tour in a day's drive around Schulenburg/LaGrange area.
It's absolutely amazing in them that what appears to be marble is actually painted, gorgeous craftsmanship throughout.
We stayed at Colorado River landing Rv Resort in LaGrange, beautiful park, but as I recall they got flooded out a couple years ago, don't know if they ever rebuilt.

Salton City, CA

This town and all the others around the lake belong to a modern day economic disaster. What is left is mostly "ghost towns". We drove the perimeter roads all the way around the Salton Sea. The only thing that changed from stop to stop was the stink. The wind direction had a lot to do with that.

The Salton Sea is about 360' below sea level. The whole area is hot, dry and stinky.
