Don't laugh I know I'm dating my self and there maybe some here that never seen one except in a picture or grandpa garage.
However I heard some others while at the service bay complaining about their grills and this very problem.
I do have a small Weber with this issue as well

My Camp Chef 2 burner grill came with a removable wind guard and it helps both cut down on the breeze at the cooking surface as well as acts as a splash guard for grease "pops."

Just a bit of sage advice from an old grillman.
After you clean your grill for the last time of a camping trip make sure you empty and thoroughly clean the grease tray. If you don't and store your grill in the RV until next trip you may find the grease residue leaving a greasy smell in the storage compartment.
After I clean my grease tray, I dry it, put it in a sandwich baggie and leave it on top of the grill for which I made a cover out of some scrape sunbrella material from another project.

Before cooking i wrap the grease cup up in foil. When done cooking i remove the foil leaving the grease cup clean.

I have a grill for the RV however have come to a crossroads, on weather to buy a Griddle and pitch the Grill.
We see the benefits the griddle offers based on our electric one we currently use and how well it works for so many breakfast items.
The wife simply hates cooking anything greasy in the rv and I agree it gets every place.
So out comes the grill, frying pan, electric cord and outside I go to cook.
During my research i found a lot of choices however few comments from true RV people.
Now let's get to all your professional experiences and what is the best Griddle for an RVer and why.
Look forward to the conversation

I have the 17 inch blackstone griddle. I luv it I can cook anything on it. Walmart has a package deal right now including table and hood. Good luck on your choice

Solar Ovens
Hi! Just mentioning an option to grilling would be a solar oven. No electricity or propane used.

Never thought about a solar oven sound very interesting.
I can see the downside to the solar part especially in the morning when I get up early to go fishing

Are you saying you bought a steel griddle for like a camp fire or the stove and set on top of the grill.

Where do you store it?
As a newbie, I bought a really nice Coleman propane grill and then came to find that I had to choose between carrying it or carrying patio chairs in my 2014 Hurricane because THERE'S ONLY ONE DECENTLY SIZED STORAGE BAY IN THE COACH.
Sold the Coleman on Craigslist after using it just once and went with an electric griddle.

Yes. I bought a 2 sided cast iron one. One side is flat for doing pancakes, eggs, and other stuff and the other side has raised lines for doing meat.
