Forget waiting for the GPS to warn you (they ARE NOT 100% accurate), put the phone down, take your head out of your ___, & pay attention to the road ahead.
From watching numerous videos of this bridge there's a couple warning signs prior to getting to it, one with several yellow lights flashing warning of the low clearance. If this guy or you don't know the height of your rv you need to do it NOW & post it in your eyesight on the dash so there's absolutely no guessing.
Most states 13'6"is the standard minimum height for overpasses without posted warnings, anything less should be marked & warnings posted prior to it.
Pick up a Motor Carriers Atlas at your local truck stop, it has any/all road hazards for height & weight listed by state in the front & all roads suitable for trucks are highlighted, if trucks can go you should have no problems with any rv.

Yeah I know, I was hoping that maybe the upgrade last night was going to bring about new features / functionality.

But it is a LM model; which I am now assuming stands for Lifetime Maps (LM) ?
I may call Garmin, it will give me something to complain about today because I will never buy another of their products if subscription is required as long as Waze and Google Maps are free

Correct; which was the point... and why I stopped using it years ago. I am not gonna buy no stinking map to protect no stinking air conditioner.

I am still mad at the world for people paying subscriptions for what use to be free radio and TV Some cases it is cheaper to buy a new unit than pay for the map upgrade. But my Waze is just fine and does a lot more for free which is right at the upper edge of my affordability price range.

No but I will be going to the Texas Motor Speedway tomorrow to get my 2nd Pfizer dose. While there; I will check to see if they can't fix something to get my RV to top out at 85mph

Are you suggesting we actually read those signs and yellow warning lights? Or worse that we actually read a Motor Carriers Atlas book before the trip

What scares me the most is when you get rerouted and have to off Interstate.

D,
Why not just sell all of those old Garmins, and put the cash towards the purchase of an RV-oriented unit?
That new Garmin RV-1090 looks crazy-beautiful!

Yep, LM model should have Lifetime Maps updates for free. I would definitely call Garmin.

During my motorcycling days: I seem to recall reading that Garmin considered a "lifetime"; to be just 3 years...

You also should take signs with a grain of salt. The clearance sign might have been accurate once upon a time but if the road below has been resurfaced a time or two it is not especially likely that the sign was updated. Could be off by half a foot, possibly. But you’re right, use all of your senses, like a Jedi knight, while you’re motoring along.

Update:

Spoke with Garmin who confirmed both of my devices are for free lifetime maps. They state there is a glitch after a software update that will falsely tell some devices to log into purchase the updated map; when it fact you just upgraded to the current version of the map After powering off the device a few times they were able to confirm my map is the current updated version and I no longer get the error / warning message in the picture above

$600!!! Stop it... I just spent $500 on the new VMax 125 ah AGM Tank batteries, I got restless and could not wait till the Fall. I saw a good deal that I could not pass up. My thinking is to have the cleanness of AGM now, double or triple the current capacity power that I am seeing right now, and to have the new batteries now through duration of what may be the remaining useful life that I own the RV

I have had the devices 6 years and Garmin confirmed that LM means lifetime maps so I am good. I will still use Waze first but I will put a Garmin in the RV to do other stuff like see real time elevation. Better in RV than Attic
