I Hope That You Have Voted...

FIRST: I don't care what your Political leanings are; or who you voted for.
This is just about exercising the most important right that you have as a Citizen of the greatest Country in the World.
If everyone votes: then the chips can fall, and we're all satisfied that it was the "will of the people".
And if you've already voted:

Off my soapbox now...

Voting

Sounds good but an uninformed voter can do more damage than by not voting. A good example of that is the referendum process in California. People get inundated with propositions that are usually quite difficult to understand and are lied about in their campaign ads. Most people don't bother to read who is actually funding the proposition. I would rather that people who don't bother to do their own research and not just follow a TV ad stay at home and skip it until they responsibly vote.

I'll agree with that: you have to know what you're voting for; or you'll get exactly what you deserve!

Pretty much as said above.

Voting without knowing is a form of theft.
I'd just as well the happily ignorant stay happily at home.
Just because you can vote doesn't mean you should vote.
I'd rather someone with a felony conviction for election fraud be allowed to vote than someone who votes on the candidates personality.

I know someone who voted for George 2 because 'he's such a pretty man and I love his accent'. I am sickened, but you sometimes don't get to pick the friends you love, they just happen.
I follow politics so little I STILL don't know if George 2 was Democrat or Republicans. (oddly, my phone capitalized Democrat but not republican).

I too, can't begin to care less about your political stance or lack thereof.
Personally, I have no political stance. Never have.

No matter who or what, as long as the playing field is level, I'll be happier by not having a 'side'. .

And I remember saying the same thing about BHO. Agree with everything you said. And in CA there is a proposition that will allow 17 year olds to vote if they are 18 by the general election. One of the worst amendments to our Constitution was the one that allowed 18 year olds to vote and they want to make it even worse.

Let's try to stay away from anything that might be remotely viewed as partisan...

Voted a couple weeks ago, and have been very happy to have it done. LONG lines in my county! I think turnout is very high this time around.

Always read the deatails. Florida is notorious for lumping stuff together on state/county amendments. Every time we vote, we have to research line items.

Due to local papers being anything but unbiased, is easy to judge how to vote from the rationale they use for endorsements.

Do your homework or not as you feel compelled and have a nice day.

Our local polling location noted the largest turnout in their history today (by 9am) with lines backed up from 6 AM

By 9 the lines has slowed down and the voting was moving along very well. The existing line was moving all the time due to the efficiency of the poll workers.

We have traveled for years but always make sure we are at home to vote in person for the 53 year, now since the first time

Seriously: It's too cold, and there's too many mountains in Switzerland for me...
But the thought of keeping a fully automatic rifle in the house does offer an incentive to move...

Wells said. We voted early last week. And I agree 100%, people need to educate themselves before ever casting a vote for anyone or anything. What we hear in the media and what's actually the truth are so far apart it's sad.

We used absentee ballots this year, but personally dropped them of at the county courthouse to avoid any mail issues.
I, for one, will be glad when the election process is over, regardless of who wins or losses.
The mute button on my TV remote is about wore out from muting every political ad.
