I usually replace them every 3 years when I find a good sale so they always are fresh. AGMs will cost twice as much and not last any longer. In my experience AGMs work great until they don’t while flooded generally will give you quite a bit of warning that they are done by just not holding their charge as long as they used to. Lithium is a better technology but at the moment can cost up to 10 times as much, may require a new converter/charging system and has a (small) risk of fire. Each type has its proponents.
Because we don’t travel often (2018 24.1), always go “full hook up”, and because my Battery Source doesn’t have AGM 27s (thinking I read that 27 is the correct size), I may stay with the Roadhawks CW installed recently. Will focus on possible converter issue as I think that power is coming in though not being converted. Also, “use” switch makes no noise or bump when switched so could be a switch item. Noted Pete’s post about small inverter for fridge. Hmmm. Hope I’ve gotten my terminology fairly understandable. Going to ”the shop” on Wednesday. Wishing you well, Bob.

I'm seeing some rain gutter on that dash!
Have you done anything to it I should modify and do?
We lined ours with felt and no other mods.

I see your valance change.
The spousal unit does good upholstery as a hobby so it's not a thing, we just haven't done it yet. When we redo the counter tops we'll pick out the accompaniments.

New tool
With this and a quick coupler I won't need three hands to grease the 24.1

Your the best

You bet you see gutters! I think thats my favorite thing. I lined the inside and under them where they sit on the dash so it wouldn’t rub. I also lined the ends where they touch so i wont have any squeaking or rubbing. I also did the window treatments to something a little more my speed and my husband made the console cover over the dog house. I am putting the insulation on it tomorrow and 2 sided tape on the bottom for no sliding or squeaking. We have theater seating and we made small tables for each seat. The cockpit chairs we had recovered by a guy that did boats this last winter. He was hungry it being winter and all so he replaced all the insides and re worked them so they sit right and used marine grade vinyl for 600 for both. Good match on the color too. Told y’all about all the stuff we’ve done under the coach for steering and stabilizing. Inside is almost done too as far as major stuff. We want new mattresses and will probably do that next. Never realized just how personal these thing are. What i like and need will be different than someone else so each coach is a OOK in progress for each person(s) based on their needs. For the most part its been fun although we’ve lost our religion a couple times but i am very pleased and comfortable with what we have done. Thanks to all of you for all your input and ideas we are very grateful and would not have made it this far with out you.

Question

I do have a question, with the gutters on the dash and my dog also like to stay up there it’s hard to see the mirror on the passenger side. So we wanted to mount some more side cameras. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to mount them and maybe some suggestions on brand and models of some good cameras. I want a separate monitor than the radio/monitor. Our radio i think is going out so we haven’t decided what we are going to replace it with yet.

It is illegal in most states, and unreasonable in all states, to Have an animal on the dash.

And
There's pictures a few pages back of my dual overhead monitors.

Snake steak stake

What I did yesterday:

A STEAK as big as my head.

The SNAKE I rescued the neighbor from yesterday. (he was dancing and squealing like a sissy on a troop train because this snake was on his drill press knocking things over) the snake is at my house now. Turned him loose on the back patio.

A STAKE you always see on the map but it's never there when you get there. (on my side property visible from the road. I thought it was a bit funny.)

Attention paid.

Look up
Potato seed, not seed potatoes.
It's pretty wild. Worth the 3 minute education.
Guess who's gonna have 500 year old andean throwbacks?

Pulled Dorothy(the 24.1's name. Originally named because when the wind blows, Dorothy sucked. The new front straight axle fixed all of that) out of her house today to run the generator and the ac.

I have cleaned the windshield, then used a clay bar on it, then coated it with rain x glass cleaner which I really love. I'm about to try the ceramic wax on it, but I've been working landscaping and other vehicles lately and neglecting my rv mods.
Sparkling clean windshield . Stupidly clean windshield . Laboratory clean windshield
One hour outside, a bird has crapped on the windshield.
The good news it's a tiny bird and it comes off without wetting with a kind of 'click' noise because of the rain x and a good clean base before application.

It could be worse.
About every two or three years we have a grand canyon condor fly over.

I would wait on the ceramic wax until that great Rain X wears off some and it needs a new cleaning. Rain X also works well in the commode to let things slide down. If you do not have a sprayer, try Rain X after cleaning. It does a darn good job getting rid of the job.
