I lost my tomato plants long ago due to a heater failure on a -2f night.
But the lettuce doesnt seem to mind.
It has been 10f in there many times. It slows, but keeps in growing. The tubes I buried 4ft down add and subtract 10°f so the greenhouse stays above ambient due to the boost and its own heat signature.
That's 3rd generation stock. I always let a few plants go to seed for next year.
If I bothered to thin it out that's about 100 head of bib and 6 or so oakleaf bundles.
Tomatoes get started next month.
Only two types and lettuce this year.
I'm focusing on trees this year and next.
Potatoes will just be tossed in a hole on a hill. They'll be free range taters.

There's talk of torn valve stems on another thread.

I carry two pair of these.
Too compact, light, cheap to not have a pair for you and anyone else along your path having a bad day.
Mine are red. I carry 4 because these are 'gift' things, not 'lend' things and I'd like to still have one when I might need it..

I also have a jumbo sized tire plug kit.

A great solution to a problem I've never had...but that just means I have not had it yet!

Might be more of a possible MH thing? All my 25 yrs of experience has been towing trailers, so I am buck new to the MH thing!

No, just a tire thing..
I currently have a rotted one on my littlest trailer, and I've ripped one right off of the golf cart on a snag.

They rot just like tires do.
The metal stems on one of my wheels managed to still rot out their gasket.

I too had been lucky until about three years ago.

I mentioned a septic tank problem on another thread.

Had the tank pumped on a Sunday.
We're guessing $600 but we'll be billed.
Had the line reamed, a whole 10feet from the tank. $509 on a holiday.

I asked them if they'd rather have the labor hours or use my backhoe.
We used my backhoe for the dig and I'm well versed, like have done 150+pumps and can ream a line with the best of them. I knew where the covers were and I knew within a foot of where the blockage was. I showed the pumpers how to set their fuel screws for the altitude change and told them where the rock they had sucked up was in their suction hose.

I PROUDLY used local folks who are having a bad time of it, even toilets aren't clogging like they used to. I'm both companies only call for the weekend.

I could have done it myself.
The toilet flange that would have found broken or broke myself, the 90° 20 year old plastic elbow... I'd have had to build the tool to make the tool to build the jig to make the required tool.

As it was, the backhoe was so dead it wouldnt take a jump. My electronic jumper decided it didn't like glow plugs, I rummaged for jumper cables decidng a 50 yard walk in the snow was better than a 200yard walk to the place I wouldn't have to rummage through. Swapped batteries for a LYING BASTARD that had only surface charged, jumped it. Filled the entire shop with blue smoke, had to open all doors at 27°f and let out the smoke...and heat.
AND
I was STILL 100yards from where the damn thing was needed in the first place.
Some things I'd just rather pay for, but there I was anyway, running a damn backhoe and wrangling a pump truck.

Both company's, their guys said it was the first tip they'd had in a year. I wasn't turning them loose without a tip. I can't believe people do.
Tank was 1.5 hours, plug was 30 minutes.

Just a story about the sister-in-law and her SUPPOSEDLY SAFE babybutt wipe stupidity.
Plugged us up in the line at a pipe seam. Wouldn't degrade in water.

The entire earth is biodegradable Dammit! Some things appear more distant....

Punchline;
Shut UP about your buttwipes. You'll plug your line on your black tank.
And we'll all laugh and laugh...

Hey Duck, any chance you can get your SIL to kick in some $$ on that fix since she caused the problem?

I won't mention it to her.
She's too valuable to us.
It would be a heartache bigger than the money.
She's a giant turd, but she's our turd.

The sweetest most hateful stupid as a rock and sharp as a tack in the same breath person you'd ever meet.

I received my starlink invitation today.
$99 deposit and they Bill the balance of the $500 equipment charge when it ships.
I now pay $99 for 15-20meg. A small local ubiquity system.

I'll keep my current company for the shop if they drop it to $20 per month.

Ducksface and all the contributors, thanks for all the great info on this thread!

I am looking at the Axis/Vegas 24.1 or 24.3 but need some owner's feedback regarding exterior heights. Can someone tell me the awning heights on passenger and driver's side and the height to the edge of the roof? Trying to see if this will fit down a driveway with a roof overhang.

Thanks.

RV batteries aren't really 12 volt. We just call them that. They're closer to 14 than to 12.

Two six volt vs one 12 v is mostly a myth as it applies to rv.

Flooded batteries which you have to add water are a design form the 1890's

Agm and the like can lay on their side and require no water added on occasion but that's all they add to the system, no water added and the crap fest that can be.

Lithium batteries with internal sensors can be drained lower, essentially making them almost double the capacity of non lithium type batteries.

A special charge might not be needed for your lithium batteries since the big difference is a charger doesn't have to constantly 'tap' a lithium battery to keep it full.

Lithium is becoming an old but sturdy platform and newer better is coming.
Any investment in a $1,000 lithium battery today will be of great advantage, but might be $300 five years from now.

That's the battery nutshell without religion, prejudice, politics or laboratory strives wrongly translated to real rv life.
So on our AGS system, what voltages do you use for your batteries' stop/start?

He must have stared at that poinsettia for 20 minutes.
Poinsettia on the kitchen table, deer on the porch.
Damn windows. Deer must think windows are some sort of magic with deer ghosts inside of them, and those brazen ghosts look you right.in.the.eye....

I dont2 know the settings on my ags.
It has never come on.
Rv lives in its house and we travel in the rv with little parking for any length of time.
We just turn on the generator when we anticipate needing it.
I should probably check that ags to make sure it still works.

And
It did away with that awful lag I had in the side cameras. They're immediate now. It added an odd feature I hadn't had before: If I touch the brake it goes back to the rear camera if on side cam, release the brake and it goes back to side cam. So, a tap of the brakes gives me one last rear view before I change lanes.

Mine was $149 in a beat up box, I think they're under $250.

I think Axera radio on my 2017 Axis 25.2 have problem first off all when I put RV on store mode turns off then it start on use mode some times not turn on need reset. It is connected to house battery.
I like the Eonon radio you installed. I read the reviews on Amazon it has 4 star but most complains about it is slow responding and long wait for boot time. How is yours work? What is the exact specs and model number?
I find this model on Amazon it says 2021 model Eonon. What do you think?

Mine is an older model.
I also like itata radios.
I think they are all made to the same specs.

I THINK itata makes a 13 inch screen model which swings from landscape to portrait mode.

I bought the eonon because I have a much older very complicated display model and it works fine .

Hepa filter installed on the cab air intake.

Some hot glue on the pointy end of the self tapping screws so I don't lace myself open when reaching into the nether-regions under the hood, finished the project.

Filters of any size you want are on the vacuum cleaner aisle in Wal-Mart.
Use Any container you like. This one opens easily to change the filter.
Or
Don't use a container at all. That filter was just duct taped in place and never moved a fraction in about 12,000 miles.
(My
Proof of concept
Duct tape housing never failed. But I was at my soldering station, found this container, used the soldering iron to cut the intake hole[I needed the plastic cut-out for another project], and was done in 10 or so minutes...so I tore out the old duct taped test piece and installed this permanent intake box.)
