My jacks drift down during long storage but they do alarm if it happens.

I paid $2.50 each, $5.00 for the pair today at a yard sale.

I know what the gfi is.

There isn't enough information(that label you see is all) for me to do a search on the bigger thing. 30 amp in, 30 amp out, two indicator lights.
What is it?
No buttons, no instructions just the display.

Also landed the correct handheld spotlight for 1963 ford dealer to have had in stock and a set of those reflector type 'road flares. The flares are in a red leather sleeve with gilded lettering. Definitely t-bird type stuff. A buck A piece.

And a 12lb cast iron bundt pan. I've never seen one before. It'll love loving with the cook-n-kettle. $5

Awing issue. If you have a Carefree Awning. Beware the little caps at the ends of the slide out rollers are very easily lost. I was washing RV today, and just a brush of the cleaning brush caused one to pop off.

I put a very little dab of clear sealant on the cap and pressed in. At least this will keep it in over bumps in the road.

Last week, i lost the other side of the awning cover. It literally blew off in the wind.

Check these little things. They look good in the show room. But a few miles on the RV. And all this stuff starts to fall off!!!

We are FINALLY taking our first long trip in our Vegas! We are heading to South Dakota for 4 nights, then Yellowstone for 3 nights, then back to South Dakota for the Buffalo Roundup. We had first planned this for Spring of 2020. We all know why that didn’t work out. 🦠

I’m posting for several reasons. First, we added some bilstein shocks and some sumo springs to our Vegas. What a difference! It feels so much more stable! We actually feel like we are real “grownup” RVers because we now have a tow vehicle I drove the first few hours on some backroads in Texas. It was a little bit rough, but all in all it was good.

What was supposed to be about a 5 hour trip turned out to be 9 because we are having issues with our house batteries not holding a charge. Right now we are having to run our generator while driving so we can use our cameras and GPS. We will be buying new batteries and/or finding a repair place next week.

The main reason I am posting is to thank this forum and it’s members for sharing their knowledge and experience with us! People like Bob Denman, DucksFace, JamieGeek, and so many others that I can’t begin to name have been so helpful to us even before we bought our Vegas in 2019. Thanks so much, y’all!!

Now please send us some good thoughts as we try to make it to Kansas tomorrow without any incidents

Pam

Kansas had great little parks in almost every small town.
Rv's were welcome to spend the night. Some free, some $7.
My batteries also crapped out as yoours have.
Two $80 auto zone type 24 (or 24r, I dont remember) cured us.
TAKE A DOZEN PICTURES OF YOUR BATTERY CONNECTIONS BEFORE YOU TRY TO REMOVE THE BATTERIES.

Thanks for the thanks.
I quit posting as many of my mods as I used to.
Maybe I'll post a few more.

Sounds like the comedian when he just wants to think about nothing, grabs the box of nothing from the shelf ...

The two new batteries fixed the problem! The only issue we had when changing them was that the connections from the RV to the original battery posts were too small for the new batteries. My husband had to use a drill and drill bit to make them a bit larger. Again, this forum has been invaluable when we have had an issue. We are really enjoying the Black Hills of South Dakota!

Brookings sd has a state college there.
They make their own cheese and ice cream and serve it in a nice little shop.
TWO museums there.
One is FULL of a single artists work and he paid for the museum(I thought it a LOT self-indulgent of himself). Its very nice if you like wildlife/duck-stamp paintings.

The other is a beautifully done museum with a nice section based on intricate embroidered hankies and table cloths.
Both are free.

And
If it's anywhere along the way:
Theres an ice cream shop called
Purple cow.
I'm unsure of the town, it's VERY small, and North of Brookings,
Great ice cream
But
They also have a meat and cheese shop.
Best cheeses and meat sticks we have bought anywhere, worldwide.

Purple cow should be easy to look up.

My right rear mudflap trimmed itself up on ths last trip.
The curled piece was hanging on by a thread. A quick cut with a pocket knife type thread.
I think it did a remarkably good job considering how straight it managed to cut itself and having no prior experience.

The spousal unit has the 24.1 out on a solo trip this weekend. I meet up with her Monday.

White Mountains.
Look up
Greer Arizona.
You won't believe it's in Arizona.

Three minute fix.
Self tapper broad flat head screws.
It wasnt much of a problem, just a bit of pulling loose on one corner of one corner,
Permanently out of mind now.

White self-tapping flat head screws
Or just touch them up with white metal paint.

I'll color mix
Tulip t shirt paint
And cover them entirely.

I love that stuff. Dries to a nice plastic at about 30 durometer.

Thanks for reminding me.
