I don't think painting the grill would tell any future owner anything except the love and detail you put into, and maintained, in your RV.
Personally, I would greatly respect the painted grill and the added flare color.
I think it's a great choice and adds a nice touch.
And
Your choice looks spectacularly better than the factory chrome grill.
(Maybe, just a maybe, have them take that nose tattoo off. Your stripe idea is so clean and modern it could do well without it. The tattoo is a little dated as far as fashion is concerned.)
And
Have them hit the radiator and other parts you can see through the grill with some satin or semi gloss black. Not gloss.
This is the super clean detail that will look so Newell.
After sticker shock from THOR on a new grille,. i went to my professional paint shop and discussed a face lift on the RV. Take the existing grille and change to gloss black to match front facia color scheme, and get some 3M gloss black wrap and add a stripe from existing stripe to the grille shown below. What do you think, update the front or pay the price and go with Chrome plastic, for resale value? I have spent the last few day sanding off that terrible chrome paint and then it goes in for paint prep. The grille is back ordered from JET TECHNOLOGIES, so i may have time to cancel order.
In 2019 Coachmen released a Sportcoach diesel pusher that was trimmed with black stainless, to include wheels. It was a handsome looking rig. Too small for use or we might have bought one.
Thanks.. I have a great appreciation for all that work the Auto Body re finishing business! As soon as i get a color code from THOR, we may start the prep, Does anyone know what color black they use....i want it to match this swatch seamlessly,

Any paint codes used by Thor are generally on a sticker on the back of a cabinet door.
Every model and year can use a different name or code for the same color with just a small difference in shade.
New neighbor (1/2 mile away)
Comes up the driveway, past the house and down to the barn.
He had a sudden spurt of bravery while in his yard, put a 70inch snake in a bucket because he thought his dog was in danger, then realized he had a SNAKE in a bucket.
Raced down here for me to get it out of the bucket.
Our common snake, I don't know what they're called. Same pattern as a Mojave Green rattler, but a narrower head and no rattles.
Usually very calm, about 1:7 will strike at you once, then calm down.
This one was very friendly. He is alive and well and now lives near my shop.
So....
As I'm typing the above post another neighbor called:
'We hit a pothole and my water trailer bounced off the hitch ball. Bring a 4x4.'
I grab a scissor jack, a socket to fit and a ryobi impact and a 9ft long 6x6.
I got there and just picked the tongue up and sat it back on the ball instead of needing the jack.
Then I got to explain resetting the electric brake controller wasn't a thing unlesz we find it is a thing, and that the shackles on the dual axle will flip themselves back to normal once they go down the dirt road and jostle it.
At least 10 hrs of sanding and stripping got my grille down to base plastic. THOR was nice enough to send me a color chart of the graphics on the RV. Next week we go to paint.....going with Black Gloss 101. I will check the cabinet door....
Looked in all cabinets, there is a component list for the RV, but no color numbers.
Hey, has anyone ever tried to replace the gaskets around the external door locks? I look at other forums and no one seems to be able to buy the gaskets? I am going to buy some flat rubber sheet and make my own gaskets.
I've been buying silliness for the t bird.
Stuff you'd find in any car in 1963.
I also have a 1963 jc Whitney catalog, a 1962 comic book and a (not playboy) girlie magazine, a ball point pen that is a 50th anniversary 1913/1963 commemorative, and a bit of 1963 coins in the center console. That yellow cinderella phone is being converted to match the biege Cinderella car phone from 1963.
When I find the a&w half gallon cardboard cone I'll crush and toss on the passenger floor, I'm probably done.
If you can think of anything that is unmistakably 1963, let me know.
(Arizona did not make 1962 or 1963 car plates because they made so many in 1961 they lasted through 1963)

It's usually easier for me to cut my own or use form-a-gasket than to mess with a vendor for most of the non compression gaskets I need just one of.
Duck, how do you make the dia? Do you just mark and cut. Is there a way to stamp out the Dia. make it look professional. Like a stamping tool. or just exacto knife it.... like a die... just put on the rubber sheet. Bam with a hammer, and out comes a round piece of rubber...now that i do a walk around.. alot of those little rubber gaskets are either gone or about to be...
I sharpen various size pipe to use as hammered or drill operated and I have hole punch kits up to about 1/2".
Scissors or exacto for outside edges.
A photocopy used as a template works mostly. My phone fisheyes too bad to be accurate but I have a little 100mm optical dive camera I can use.
I doubt I cut three a year but I have the tools to do it.
I've mentioned these before but I didn't have picture proofs. I try to post proofs whenever I recommend something.
Today I ordered another set of two because my last set was given away(I don't remember who where or why, but they're gone)
If I had the linked item today I wouldn't be dismounting that tire, breaking the bead, praying it seats, filling and remounting.
Valve stems do rot out.
Valve stems do get caught on branches and rocks.
Valve stems do get manhandled by gorilla fisted tire guys.
No, I hadn't seen this before about three years ago either.
I ordered a sheet of .04 thick rubber sheet and use one of the plastic door O-ring washers as a template. I am going around the RV and replacing all the O-ring seals as needed. Using a sharp exacto knife and original plastic O-ring a a master, works fine.

Back in the farm and ranch days that would have been handy to have on hand
I did change almost all wheels to metal valve stems as they came through the shop, we had Coats machines
Jack rabbits, kangaroo pack rats, and age got most of the rubber valve stems
I'm very happy with both of these.
Happy enough I'll buy the seal cleaner for use on the tbird.
(These came with my RV. The original owner of my 24.1 must have gone down the aisle like a
Supermarket Sweeps contestant. A dozen chemicals, $1,000's in accessories)
Is that your AXIS in the picture... Nice! 2018 looks brand new
It has POUNDS of bugs and grime on it.
It's outside only when we're travelling and I have plenty of opportunity to clean it up because its always Right. Damnwell. In. My. Way.,
but
my care-er...can't care,
so I ignore it.
(It's the best place EVER for napping.).
The inside is always super duper clean, always packed, always full water tank, even the fridge stays loaded,
Garage door opens, coil/store the shore power line...and we're gone.

Where on the coach are all of these missing or ING gaskets located?
