$10 at a yard sale
It was packaged at $20 along with a 3000w inverter.
I split the package with a friend(I got all the cables and such.)

Did they just not know what they had? Hell, the cables were probably worth $20.

He knew exactly.
House was off the grid and he built his full system and the house was hand built by him. He was some sort of electrical guy, and the items might have been scalped from jobs.

Girlfriend was leaving him.
The household stuff like fake indian artifacts and full skin cow hides, they wanted over retail.
I bought 500lbs of stainless steel 1/4-20 bolts of five or six lengths/types for $5. I took 50ish pounds and left the rest.

I bought two half full rolls of that Orange conduit you see them installing along the roads for fiber optic for $6. I'll use it for water runs from my rain collectors.

Some things I passed on
Harbor freight big bandsaw for metal $8.
Hand tools at 90% off.

But he wanted 75% of retail for some clamps and too much for some bins. Looking back while typing this I think the differential had to do with whether he had to pay for stuff or scalped the stuff.

He was pissed and he wasn't just closing that chapter of his life, he was starting a whole new volume.

I missed buying a whole house solar system he had a backup, panels controllers mounting frames, racks, everything but batteries, $1,200. Had to be $30,000 new.

She got full retail for her 30 series deere loader and Gannon.

I only knew him from this yard sale but I arranged for two helpers to load his truck on moving day. He left two days early without telling them. He told them by text two days after that he had had to get out of arizona quick.

No, THIS is low.
Not bagged, less than four fingers high.
The body is channelled.
The suspension/springs stand as stock.
It's a stock c3 but 1300lbs+- lighter.
Used as a daily driver like this for years.
It's floor art now.

(I was working on the 24.1 and decided to sweep the floor. I had to get different broom to get under this.)

Dammit I've got three sad old cars and I post them only as an enticement.
You guys must have cars to post.

Finally, after about 80 days, the wind wasn't blowing today so I was able to test my found mavic 1 quadcopter/drone. I had to buy a controller for $34, so I'm in it $34.

It worked flawlessly.
Now I'll order extra batteries and goodies.

All the drone had in it that was identifiable was an sd card with no name, the drone wasn't named, and the sd card held only pictures from a machu pichu vacation 6 years ago.
No drone pics on the sd.

I don't know how it got where it was. Had to be a Hunter. Nothing else within three miles makes sense to launch a quadcopter.

I have named the drone with my phone number and put a file on the sd card with contact info and named the sd card my phone number. Is there anything else I can do?

So, it has cost me $150 in extra batteries and stuff I had in my Amazon list to order if it worked.
I'll be in it cheap, but even at free it's not as cheap as I'd hoped.
Of course I bought three extra batteries and toys. Yes, I'll buy the $25 upgraded program.

Once I become bored with it, it will probably be relegated to checking rain gutters.

Two of my uncles and all their friends were area 51 back in the sixties and up to the mid 80's.

I've never heard a single hint of a story.

Bring that car and the quadcopter to the Williams car show next year.
I'm not one to enter a car show, but I will if you will.

While not entirely certain about the original Mavic drones, the Mavic 2 drones I have will immediately identify themselves when I plug them into a computer with the DJI Application running. There I see my information, info on the drone, hours of use, miles travelled, etc. That’s also how/where you update the firmware..

The 33 Ford will stay put in Texas while we’re on our winter sojourn to AZ. The drones come with me - so maybe!
When is the car show? We still need to visit the Grand Canyon (no drones - I know) yet as neither of us has ever seen it….

Only the quads ID number. I didn't look for hours flown but the battery said three charges of which two or maybe all three were mine. It had a 75% charge when I found it.

The show was june 11th.
It's getting as big as the Havasu show.
(Thanks for saying no about the car. I didn't want to enter but I would to promote community on this forum)

The tbird is down right now. No reverse.
Low on fluid
Or
Linkage came off
Or
The first/reverse actuator has broken. Supposedly it's just removing a small side cover and inserting a new one.

I haven't even checked. I needed to shut it down sooner or later due to it having its first ever ethanol and 60 year old gaskets and the nos shocks and belts and such I need to swap out.

I might have preferred it not be down its first summer but the carbs are getting pretty ugly on the outside.

It’s not that I didn’t want to attend, but the logistics of moving that 33 Ford over a thousand miles is just too much for me to absorb.
I hear you on the ethanol fuels…. It’s killed probably millions of carbs and fuel system components…

We dropped off the grandturds and arranged(over the last year) picking up parts and antiques and implements and stuff yesterday on a grand drive-about.The last planned stop of four or so dedicated stops stood us up, making for a quick change of plans.
So. The change was instead of a nights hotel stay in the conjoined towns of Sister-Toucher California, we just came home.

Spousal Unit drove 902 miles yesterday, just for the sport of it.
Long day, 4am till midnight.

I did the same miles and day length earlier this year in the 24.1

We drove through the marvelous burgs of ashfork and Daggett and Barstow and Mojave and Boron and Hinkley and Neenach...on purpose. If you want to see some sadness, make that drive through California.

We picked up 60 year old car parts seen only once or twice for sale in the last 20 years....

A sandwich(excellent shredded beef with two eggs on it with grilled parmesan toast), a big salad, two coffees(I don't drink coffee three times a year) a tip worthy of a harried little girl dealing admirably with a table of 21 and three couples while the only other waitress sluffed:
$50 total.
$50 at a Damn Denny's with no dessert.

For those with questions:
We do math and geography memory games/tests often to see where we are on the viable to drive scale. We haven't had a radio on with both of us in the vehicle in probably 40 years. We decided a long time ago that a blaring radio playing
Walk This Way
For the third time in six hours means:
I'd rather listen to this endless blather than hear a single word you have to say.

Some can, some can't..
We both can.

Had been there a few days(I think) when a guy in Australia emailed me about it.
One very bad picture from 20 ft away and the wrong year car listed in their about 10 word description.
The nicest vendor. They appear to run a junk shop. Listings were this wheel, an antique typewriter, the front end from a 80's 18 wheeler, no rhyme to the stuff, single digit sale count...perfect storm.
I sent the money along with enough for them to buy lunch.

I took a big chance at the high-school dance.
Kitty came through
