Two of the batteries are up and running.
The loaned out one works.
When the mud subsides I'll be able to get the 3rd battery to try the trick above to know if I have 400amp or 600 or 800 on this install.
400a is fine. It's just a microwave we run.
But
My 3000w 67lb inverter will run my AC if I had 800a....
But
We run the generator while driving and boondocking.
Super duper refractory and sound insulation/baffle is going into the generator bay along with a 12v fan from a BIG truck radiator.
Hint:
I have found that much, like very much, of the sound comes from the Air filter cover on the 4000 generator. I'll post a pic of my new cover. It cut the rattlely ass, hard to pin point the source sound way way down.
Too many choices available.

Maybe I lead a different life.
11 of these type people are due here in an hour.
Last month was groundhogs day,
Presidents day before.
Cinco de Patsy is coming up.
Then 6 or so themed movie nights.
Then July at the lake
September close-out
Holloween
Thanks giving
Christmas
And 8 or more birthdays in between.
And,7 or,so,offroad trips in between.
There are 9 families living behind our big gate.
We have a blast
(That's the spousal unit inside that outfit)
I have on a green Zegna shirt(only green clothing I own) from the far back of the closet. I'm still recovering from my groundhogs outfit and my Snow White-Trash Halloween costume.

It's one of a few to come...quickly.
I cut off about an inch and a half per bowl.
Not so melty as a bigger bowl.
The grandturds freaked out the first time they saw me cut through the ice cream container and slice them off a slab of ice cream.

never hagen daz. $4 bucks a pint is $32 a gallon and Tillamook seems better taste and price to me at $12 a gallon.
It's store brand or tillamook, I don't remember.
The container is short like that because we've whacked a few servings off the top of the container.

When there's a chance of a bad apple in a barrel due to gut feeling or due to questionable sourcing, you remove the apples one by one and place the good apples in a different barrel.
If no bad apple, the barrel now has greater value as a known quantity. If there was a bad apple, the new barrel now has greater value due to known quality of every apple.
It depends on what you put into that new barrel. Your merit, your diligence.
This is how incomplete information is handled. Every word is measured for false/rotten, placed in a new story, now knowing the rotten /false is removed.

Maybe to no avail, but I was buttoning my battery location change and I had the stuff.
Tripled it up around the doghouse. The v10 valve cover is about 2" from the drivers right foot....
I did everything I could reach under the hood.
Fenderwells go back in soon and they are double coated.
Refractory cloth under the floor is next.
The pics are the a.c. unit and under the axis/Vegas desk, looking through the battery access hole. I also did the desk bottom. So it's layer, wood layer, air space, layer.
I think I'll build a safe under the dash portion of the desk now that I don't need the access for the battery.

Today a rental truck comes through our gate, I just happen to be there.
Delivers to me a small package with a very foreign name not associated with anyone, behind our gate, ever, but our address. It is from Wal-Mart with a Wal-Mart shipping label.
I have him wait while I open it.
Inside is a very used, not just beat-up but used, single box of baby teething biscuits, maybe an 8pac, that smells heavily of koolaid or cheap candles.
I refused delivery.
He rescanned and left.
Drug muling gone wrong?

I saw an Ace towing a black jeep today at our local gas station, headed to the south rim.
Was it anyone here?

Did you notice those large burlap bags in the back of the toad? They were headed to the local farmers co-op.
Black jeep, black jeep, have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir... three bags full.

A very funny children's book based on real life jeep ownership is:
Sheep In A Jeep
The ending is pricellessly accurate.

Considering a jeep was added into the mix, it's guaranteed to swerve. Both hands on the wheel!

No problems at all.
Mine is not a Quigley/sportsmobile type conversion.
Mine is a Yellowstone in winter/Antarctic type conversion.
A straight axle and leaf springs are where they ripped/cut out the independent front suspension and coil springs.
It handles better and the turning radius is smaller.
Except to check it regularly I've yet to engage it.
While the 24.1 is seriously UNDERWEIGHT when compared to other rv's and our carrying capacity is superb instead of 300lbs, my capacity is now way higher, like maybe f750 worth(no, I'd rather not argue about what some may think of frame differences. I'll not be hauling cattle...so....)
$20,000ish and about a week in SLC. Plus $3,000+ for the 'you are just plain stupid if you do not have one' winch.(I had the winch, I BUILT the mount. No cost for me)
Except for cancelling a worry about my steepy steep dirt driveway and and a want to not be stuck on wet grass or in an 'event parking overflow lot', it really has no value. Your first real off-road type flex and it's likely your axis/Vegas windshield will pop out and you'll run over it.
If you don't regularly traverse a very good but wet-weather-questionable dirt road and get 72 to 130 inches of snow a year, I'd solidly pass. The value is very limited.
The attached picture is my driveway.
