Custom front hitch mount. No fiberglass cutting.

The E-trailer, perfectly built, fits perfectly, front hitch installs in about 30 minutes and comes complete with hardware. It is designed to hide behind the license plate on a REAL e350/E450. Because of that, we have to cut a 2x2 inch hole behind our front license plate.
No big deal, takes mere minutes with a dremel or Sawzall or hacksaw or coping saw or cutting disk or nail file or hole saw.

If you don't want to cut yours from whatever reason:

This one is made from an s10 blazer rear hitch, narrowed and flipped upside down. I had to do this because my front leaf spring conversion took away the regular Mounts. I do not suggest this as it was pretty labor intensive. It looks petite but it ties into the frame on both sides with the gm factory mounting plates attached to 3/8" plate spring hangers by six grade5 bolts and locking nuts. Then tied to that cross plate Thor adds. There's no need for a picture with the hood closed because, it's HIDDEN.
(that's a winch, snatch block and cables to reach from the rear hitch to the house batteries)

I present this as a counter to those who refuse to be happy about what didn't come on their coach from the factory.
It's kinda proof you can have anything you want on your axis and the option list presented by Thor needn't be the end of happiness.

Punchline:
I have an E-trailer front hitch, new, with all the fasteners for sale at $65. You pick it up near the grand canyon. A good attitude will probably get you instruction/help and an indoor shop to install it while you're here... Tools and all. Maybe even lunch.

If I see this right, wench and all, you are gearing up for off road. Nice.

Talking Best mod so far. $27

This was easier than I thought it would be.
Just over an hour to complete the actual task.
Tool gathering and reputting was (will be, I'm just not going to do it tonight) longer.

This is my most highly recommended modification.

The rest of the story:
Of COURSE there was that wad of wires right the hell where I needed to be. They pushed to the side fairly easily.

My drill motor was too big to fit.
Luckily I have a tiny little Bosch 12v screw gun but it only has the quick connect head.
I had to drill a hole all the way through the mandrel for my 3 1/2" hole saw so I could slip in a quick connect bit I had, through the top instead of the customary bottom, using it as the pilot and allowing me to use my little drill.
This through hole also allowed me to adjust the depth of the pilot so my big hole saw acted as a guide, making sure all four of the holes were centered.

That cardboard the cabinets are made of comes out as very very very fine sawdust, It doesn't taste bad, which is nice, since it'll be in every damn meal we eat for the next 10 years.

My router and my cell booster are already plugged in up there so I put a three way plug in one of the receptacle sockets and called it good. I need to shorten all the wires up there by about, no kidding, 25ft total.
All in all, an hour or a bit more and an easy satisfying project.

I have bought US ALL a GROUP project

Axis/Vegas owners:

I bought the stalk to experiment on, and I'll do the chasing/cussing/burning myself with the soldering iron.
I'll build the harness.
I need someone to find me the pin-outs/ wiring diagram.
I need someone to chase down the little(hopefully) harness that connects this to the steering column loom.
I need someone to second-guess/tell me what to do/redo.

We'll hopefully be able to move the wipers and washer to the turn-signal stalk where it belongs.

You are a busy guy. Could you post a link where you purchased the pop-up (down) outlet?

Have you looked at Ford's website for upfitters, and stuff like the Incomplete Vehicle Manual (pdf).

You may want to peruse here:

No, I haven't looked at anything yet.
I am hoping to make this a community thing.
I have the wherewithal and ability (and soldering station), I am leaving the schematic research to someone with abilities/patiences/enjoyments I don't have.

Freezer in the rv is running at TWENTY BELOW, F!
Fridge is at a perfect 32, and will climb to 35 once sodas and munchables are inside.
(I mistakenly set the clock 12hrs fast)

The Spousal unit just now saw the new outlet.
It appears to swivel right and left 180°.
I would have never thought to try to arm wrestle the thing.

But it seems to be a feature not featured in the featured literature about features.

I finished the dual Tornado install from post 113.
Its all fittings and I could spend for the fittings since I bought the tornados at half price. The fittings are temporary. This winter the tornados get a wireless remote control and selenoid valve.

I had the gender changers and the y, but bought new since I didn't want to decrease my stock of parts. The y is the biggest I've seen for a garden hose and is a real 3/4" pass through. It was ten bucks and the elbows(which are a restrictive to volume but boosting in pressure 1/2") were 2 bucks apiece.

The tornados now have two ball valves, a check valve and a plug.

Heavy damn duty now.

The second pic is sideways.

Otherwise.
It's a 10.1" tablet running torque through the OBD port.
Or
It's a map running sygic truck or Google maps.
It does split screen so I can use IExit on a side of the screen.

We bought the 24.1 a year ago holloween.
Tonight I received a nice follow up email from the family we bought it from.
Such nice people the two of us almost niced ourselves out of the deal by being to amiable.
We came days early to accommodate him, he'd never done a bank transfer before and the logistics were freaking him out even though we did it at a bank. He threw in so much stuff we're still eating the food he loaded the rv up with. I was sure the title would be a kink, prisoner brothers name, he said we could sell it(man, I've ran I to that story a few times when we restored cars).
The 24.1 deal went so smooth on both ends that each of us was waiting for the kink.
The kink was us both bending over backwards to accommodate the other. A very pleasant and gracious accommodation I was proud to do...as was he.

Nicest family we bought this from. I wish he was my nephew.

About your dual tornados, try to support the hose hookup. I had the 90* hanging with a quick disconnect and the tornado snapped off at the flange. The material is very thin. I used the hose for the 2nd attempt.

I bought that monster size y.
I bought brass elbows
I put the intake at a reasonable angle.
I did the math.

I never thought of the tornado itself breaking.
I'll use one of the hoses tornado supplied with thir kit as a whip to take all the pressure off.

Thanks.
I hadn't thought of the weight of the water and hose or someone tripping over the hose breaking the tornado.
