I had no idea of what to do with my grandfather's toolbox. Cherished deeply, but worthless, I wanted to display it where everyone would see it, yet it wouldn't take up room on a bench or not fit with the decor.

So guess what became the coolest garage wall sconce light ever?

Click the pic, then click the pop up.

I practiced removing lug nuts today.
The ryobi battery impact took them off, even the giant 1-1/8th" front lug nuts.
But
I have the torque multiplier just in case.
I'd rather have the tools to do it, even though I'll call roadside service, than to not have the tools to do it.

We're taking the rv to kingman, lake Havasu, Parker, Quartzsite and on to Yuma for two days, 5th through Feb 10th-ish.
No Reason. Just antiquing.

(I got mine free, or something free when I bought this. Either I bought the 3 gallon vacuum we us in the 24.1 and got this free, or vice versa)

https://www.amazon.com/EWK-Torque-Mu...0525008&sr=8-6

This isn't the torque multiplier I bought, but I wish I had because of the extra sockets, though all you'll need is one size for the lugs.
I was happily surprised that the torque multiplier wasn't needed. The impact removed them all just fine. (Your choice of ham fisted gorilla minded tire shop labor guys may vary.)

My kit hadn't the 7/8 socket for 16" Thor wheels.
So... I bought a one inch(the torque multiplier size) to Half inch adapter so I can use the multiplier with all standard half inch sockets.

I like that monitor between the radio and guages.
Mine is on top of the radio now, I'll probably move it now that I've seen yours.

$25

These will go under the roof vent the next time I'm on the roof.
They'll do just fine where they are for now.
Magnetic, I need to glue some metal sheet to the places I want these to be.
Bought these on ebay, the Amazon seller is maybe a liar and a cheat. Check Amazon reviews before buying.

I've aired the tires in anticipation of our trip tomorrow.
One was down to 55 from 65, all others OK.
I fired up the 26 gallon oiless compressor because it was too cold to drag a hose in from my big compressor. Man, I don't know you guys stand the noise of those oiless bastards. I had to put on ear protection. And it is not only loud but one of the most hateful noises I've ever heard. I didn't think until just now while typing to have used my little Ryobi battery compressor(damn!)

I'm going to read the ags manual tonight and write out a programming plan. I'll probably diddle with it while the wife drives the rv tomorrow. I'm going to hate it all. I'm pretty good at lots of things but that manual might as well be in swahili. I have a brain block about it all.

While in quartzsite I'll stop at the solar place and see if they want to sell some lithium batteries at a discount since it's after their season for sales. I'm rethinking the golf cart batteries. I was only using them because I have them. They'll never equal lithium.

Maybe I can get a battery discount for some advertising. The 4x4Thor is headed to the offroad expedition show at Mormon lake this year.
It should generate a bit of interest since I'm maybe the only newer 4x4 class A(ish) in the US, maybe the world. If there are others they are few. There's an older one roaming around back east somewhere....

I'm with you on the lithium quandary. I'm leaning toward this 100ah AGM at least until I have less than 3 kids in college.

Enjoy the 4x4 and try not to get it stuck in the mud

My worst gas mileage ever. We usually get no less than 9mpg, no more than 10mpg.
This was 180 miles travelled on a climb from 302ft altitude to what you see on the screen.

6,000ft in 180 miles averaging the 70MPH speed you see on the screen.

The looks pretty darn good for climbing 6K feet and averaging 70mph. You has rot be clocking 4500 rpm most of the time.
I'm doing good to get 7.1 mpg trowing a circa with a 35' F53 chassis @50mph average. What's your secret?

Think his “secret” is that he has a 25 ft Axis! What’s YOUR secret? I usually only get about 6.5 on my 30 ft F53 coach?!

Pete,, No secret. It may be the way I drive. My Dad told me when I was learning to drive that if you push the accelerator pedal hard enough to break an egg you are accelerating to fast, same story for the brake, push that hard and you were following too close and not watching traffic ahead of you. It drives my wife crazy because I leave a lot of space in front of me, ( I get people cutting in front of me a lot, one reason I just installed a dash cam) watch the traffic ahead and usually only have to let off the gas not brake for normal traffic conditions. Use cruise control as much as I can. Tow/haul when the toad is behind me. I'm retired so not in a hurry driving the coach. All that and I'm cheap :-)

just my 2 cents

there was a time......when driving 5 over was the norm....
now that we are retired, … in no rush to get anywhere...we run 55-60...
let 'em pass us …
we average 9-10mpg
(once, going down Wolf Creek Pass CO..we averaged
45mpg for a nanosecond !!)

Sound thinking! I’m 3 years retired and STILL learning to slow down. Happy trails!

I'm sure it's been talked about a bunch but I wonder what the best overall speed / mpg is for this chariot? Cruise at 61mph seems to yield me as high as 12-13 but typically 11.
I'm doing the trans-con from SoCal back to Florida next month but this time towing a Jeep Wrangler XL. Is there a better speed for towing?
The beauty is I love the view out of that gorgeous front window so I'm in no hurry!
