Kayaks and Class C
Ok...so we have 2 kayaks I want to take for a weekend trip coming up, but I see no need to pull a trailer just for that. Mine is a heavier fishing kayak. Her's is a lighter weight just paddling thing. I have seen one kayak on a ladder, but never 2 secured anywhere.
My questions is...what do you suggest as the best/safest way to secure the 2 kayaks to the rear of the unit?

a couple years ago I saw a company that made racks for the rear of an RV, held kayaks vertically...I think they had different variations for single boats, multiples, maybe kayak + bike...can't remember now, but I'll bet you'd find it with some searching....

Yakups
This is the type I was interested in. Not sure how long it would take to get one if you ordered, though.

Could you mount a pair of brackets up on the roof?
(Could you keep them below the height of your AC units?)

I did see that brand. They ARE pricey, but I haven't done any more searching yet.

Not likely. The rig is a 26' overall so not real big. 4 roof vents, AC, shower skylight, TV antenna. Already pretty crowded up there. And I would be the one to have to get them up there and down.

Is towing a kayak/canoe trailer an option? There are also several hitch receiver extenders for kayaks that could be modified for two.

I have a utility trailer for towing our Spyder places. I could just use that, but I thought there might be a simpler way to take a couple kayaks than that trailer. I need to find a hitch extender perhaps.
