Do you have a quick connect already installed on your RV? If so, all you need to do is remove the hose / regulator assembly off the Weber and replace with a quick connect hose that matches the quick connect on your RV. Amazon has everything you need. Like I said, as long as you are downstream of the regulator on the big tank you're good. At that point it's just finding the correct size connector and hose fitting for your grill.
Save the hose/regulator off the grill and keep it on board for a backup if your big tank runs out or if you ever want to switch back to a portable setup for some reason.

I added a female quick connect with shutoff to our Challenger since we didn't have a grill quick connect from the factory. I bought a 12' hose with male quick connect and attached it to our Blackstone Tailgater. Works like a champ.

I don't have a quick connect adapter on my rig so it sounds like that's all I need to get for my rig, besides the Weber 6501 Adapter Hose for Weber Q-Series for the grill.

Thanks,

Following items needed, all can be acquired from amazon, takes about 15 min to complete
1. DonzyAnt 12’ low pressure hose quick disconnect
2. 1/8” male pipe x 1/4” female brass pipe fitting
3. 1/8 x 1/8” brass female coupling
4 1/4” propane quick connect fitting male.

You can get longer or shorter hose depending on your needs.
I also used Teflon tape on all joints

Q2200

After a lot of research went with Weber Q2200. Haven't used yet but maiden voyage for us this weekend. Still need to pick up quick connect hose.

Many threads on this topic in the last 2yrs.
In fact, some posters on this thread have since purchased.

I went with the small Blackstone. It's really versatile.

Just like the TV commercial...
Steaks, burgers, tacos for dinner
Eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes for breakfast

"Cook Anything, Anytime, Anywhere"

we really enjoy it

First I have a 22 inch Blackstone. That statement is total unadulterated marketing BS.

Let's see someone smoke a 9 pound pork butt, a packer brisket, a brisket point or flat or slow BBQ/Smoke a couple racks of ribs.

It's not getting done.

I'm not a master chef. I am a consumer that isn't gullible enough to believe and repeat the BS and lies from Blackstone or other so called experts or you tube influencers. Less than 30 seconds of brain power discounts that marketing statement.

The Blackstone is a good griddle but it is not worth a crap as a grill or a smoker.

I have a Weber Q1200 and a Blackstone 22in with a hood. Between the two of them we can cook anything we want while on the road. I'm glad I've not got into smoking yet. Carrying a 3rd item could be interesting. Lol.

Although not precise you can do some limited smoking on the Weber Q. Get a smoker box or some "Smoke in a Cup" and put it directly on the burner tube. Lower the temp as low as it goes which will be around 250 - 275 and smoke away. It is not indirect and it is not wood or pellet but not will slow BBQ a rack of ribs in a pinch.

Smoke in a cup used on a Pork Tenderloin in this pic.

As a note, I am considering the addition of a Traeger Ranger to complement or replace the Blackstone and/or Weber Q 2200.

Interesting. I've never done any smoking. I've eat plenty and love it but I don't think that counts. Lol. It is in my future though. Thanks for the info.

Costco had the Q2200 with stand on sale and I debated about getting it since it is a little larger than my Q1200 but I didn't. I don't think I could give up either of mine right now. They both do what we want so well.

I originally converted my Q1200 to use with my ACE. Then converted back to small bottles when we traded in the ACE.

I was looking at the Traeger Ranger to use while camping (love my Traeger 780 at home). I found on Amazon, ASMOKE portable/tabletop smoker/grill. Have only used it once but it grilled pretty good. It was also $100 less than the Ranger. For the saved $100, I was also able to buy the ASMOKE grill table!

I've considered a Blackstone, but it seems like it's just a frying griddle?? I often use our baby Weber at home for baking potatoes, baking fish for fish tacos, etc. Looks like the Blackstone is a breakfast griddle, but for burgers, kebobs, etc.? Again... just a frying surface?

For the MH I'm currently using a Sam's Club table top special I converted to low pressure, but I barely fits in storage. I throw a hot plate on it for bacon, etc... then use it as a grill for burgers, or close the lid to bake... just like my Weber at home.

What am I missing about the Blackstone? Hype??

The griddle part on my blackstone rusted while in storage. The teflon coating on the steel was pathetic. I now use real cast iron pans on top of a metal grate (on top on the burners).

We love our Asmoke setup. Runs on the hotter side though.

We also had the Coleman. Too awkward, heavy, sold it. We bought the 22 inch Blackstone and liked it so much, we sold our Weber at home. We use this camping and at home now. LOVE it. Easy to set up, clean, and store. ALso works well off the propane connection that came with the RV. Just don't use the one that comes with the stove.

FYI, There is NO teflon coating on a Blackstone. It is bare steel. You have to season it with oil and heat before using it (the same as cast iron) If it rusts, it's because you did not prep it correctly before storing by coating it with oil, then covering it tightly with a plastic wrap (like Saran wrap) pressed against the metal so moisture does not get in. Even if it did rust, all you have to do is clean it and re-season it again, just like cast iron.
