We only use our 17 in Blackstone. It is compact, effective, easy to keep clean and well made. I guess it’s true enough that you can’t smoke a 9 pound anything but there is zero chance that just the two of us ever would want to! If you get a Blackstone please consider the optional lid. It makes the grill more effective and easier to store.

I have the Coleman Roadtrip. Not sure of exact model. About $250.00 at Camping World. Red with two slide out shelves on each side.
For storage, I have a Four Winds 31y and it has an large back storage area.
All I have to do is collapse grill, pick up, and get the two wheels through the doorway, and it rolls right in. The collapsing and raising of the grill can be done with one foot and one hand after a few times, very easy and convenient.
For cleaning, it was terrible the first couple of times. Then I learned once you fill up the bottom with water, and then don't roll it around the campsite, all the waste goes in these well designed troughs, then just dump this water out of the way. From there I can clean the rest of the grill with about 4 paper towels. Very easy.
Cooking, take this with a grain of salt. I'm not picky. It does well, but gets hot really quick.
We also switched to the griddle piece on top instead of the slats. These are about an inch thick and really cook some great stuff, whether peppers and onions for fajitas, or thick steaks for all. Spreads out the heat very evenly.
Propane, I either use the 1lb green cannister, or the quick connect to my campers LP tank. I refill the green canisters when I get a few empty (going back to my Scoutmaster days).
Oh yeah, ensure grill is level before adding all of the water in the bottom.
I've had a few other grills I won't name (people take this grilling stuff seriously), but they have all been sold or given away.

Excuse me?

The coating is OBVIOUS! Its a thinly sprayed teflon coating over STEEL (not cast iron), which in my case, the coating barely reached the edges, yet there was some teflon overspray on the back. I took photos a year ago and sent to Blackstone. Never received a response. I've been using cast iron for 30 years. I know the difference... And yes, I always store my stuff prepped properly.

We have a Q. Why? Because it can be used as a oven, grill, and BBQ. As an oven I use a small aluminum pan and a oven thermometer. I crack the cover and start with the burner on low, adjust as needed, and maintain the temp I need for baking anything. Last thing I baked was a whole chicken in the summer heat outdoors.

I went with the small Blackstone. It's really versatile.

Just like the TV commercial...

Steaks, burgers, tacos for dinner

Eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes for breakfast

"Cook Anything, Anytime, Anywhere"

we really enjoy it

Just ordered the small Blackstone can’t wait to learn how to use it. Our favorite part of camping is the cooking part. My wife and I always argue about who gets to get to cook. Love breakfast all day long in a good shaded campsite

You’ll be pleased with it. Recommend the optional lid as well. It gives more cooking options and makes for cleaner storage. We bought the storage bag as well and DW modified it it to fit with the lid. You can easily adapt it to run off the RV propane system with a long hose. Enjoy!

The more I use my Traeger the more I hate the Blackstone.

It may be one cook away from becoming a rifle range target.

I am looking to buy a gas grill to hook up to the rear propane outlet. I understand that this is a low pressure outlet. What modification did you do to make the grill work on low pressure? Thanks in advance for info.

Do a search on the forum. There are already thousands of posts regarding this matter. I did a thread a few years ago on converting a Weber Q 2200 to include the parts list and procedures.

I have the Blackstone (17" model). It does great for hamburgers/steaks as well as breakfast items(eggs, meat, potatoes). It is a griddle and not intended to smoke anything. I also bought the optional table top stand for the blackstone.
