I just have to ask, how do you not know the height of your rig? I mean that wasn't even close. [emoji2957][emoji2957]

I know mine is 10'10" and I always look to make sure it is at least a 12' clearance. I just don't want to take any chances of that happening to me.

It takes a ladder, no fear of heights, and a tape measure...
Some folks lack one or more of those items.

That bridge is famous when it was 11'8". They raised it a couple of years ago; it is now 12'4" and apparently just as hungry as it ever was.

We've got a 12' 8" bridge near us, and I always avoid it...

Ours is 11 foot but won’t go near anything that isn’t at least 12 and half and I still worry about that.

We have a railroad bridge listed at 13' close to the house and Thor lists us at 12' 6". Haven't tried it don't think I will. Besides the town has repaved the road at least twice that I am aware of and the bridge is still listed as 13'. So we don't want to play Believe it or Not.

WOW! That would certainly ruin your day. Are there any settings on a GPS or Travel websites you can set to avoid these types of hazardous structures?

There are plenty of GPS units that will ask you to input either the height of your vehicle... or the point at which you want to avoid low hanging overpasses.

My Garmin allows me to input the height, weight and length as well as I can set it to avoid toll roads.

Cool

Some boat owners and airport workers have similar problems.
