Gulf Waters RV Resort

Has anyone stayed at the Gulf Waters RV Resort in Port Aransas? I’d also be interested in any other recommendations for beachfront RV parks in that area or around South Padre Island. Thanks.

Fort Pickens Campground

Fort Pickens Campground is a national park. Cost is $40 per night, but $20 with a senior pass.

Just drive to Pensacola Beach and make a right. Just before you get to the fort you will find several loops of campsites. If you get in Loop A, you will be about 100 yards from the best white sand beach you have every seen.

We love it there, but hard to get reservations. Youtube.com has some good videos.

Thanks for the response. We love the Florida Panhandle and have stayed at Fort Pickens many years ago, but I was looking for recommendations along the South Texas Coast.

On the Beach. It is literally on the Beach. Small and cozy. Very nice people.

Thanks Sueloublue. We do have reservations at Gulf Waters for a week starting next Monday. Looking forward to getting away and having some beach time and maybe some good fresh seafood.

I would recommend Camp Gulf near Destin. Been there 3 times, and each time was a blast.

We stayed at Camp Gulf last year. Managed to get one of the coveted sites directly on the beach. It was awesome. We are panning a trip to Key West either later this year or in the spring and plan to travel along the Gulf Coast, hitting as many beachfront RV Parks as we can. We will definitely plan on staying at Camp Gulf on that trip. The Destin - Fort Walton area has always been my one of my favorite beach areas.
