It was a great weekend. It is always great when like minded folks get together!

Yes, there is a marina attached to the campground, and recent flooding meant some of the cg sites had boats stored. The area we were in was ALL gravel. Was told they expect to replace some of the gravel with sod and add a pool. Sites are crammed tight in this B section, but some of the other sections are OK.

A wet, windy morning caused us to nix our planned riverboat tour. That was our only disappointment. That and missing those who couldn't join us! Vegas and Axis units were less than a third of the total this time, with Windsport, Ace, Hurricane, Magellan, Freedom Elite and Miramar represented. We learned a lot from each other, and everybody picked up useful tips. Nice to have Tearstone join us for the afternoon and dinner at the River Grill.

Working on a plan for a spring gathering. Stay tuned for dates and places.

Rally

Thanks Jerry for another great rally. It was great seeing everyone again for a fun time and to exchange stories. Our only complaint was it went to fast. We didn’t stay over Sunday but we stayed to have lunch with those who did stay an extra day and continued the good conversation. Looking forward to the next get together.

Thanks Mr Sunshine for setting up a great event. It was great meeting everyone and talking about everything from soup to nuts. Its pretty cool meeting a group of people from all walks of life that have a common interest. Can't wait for the spring roundup. Hope everyone has a great winter season.

Sounds like it was a great event! I've been following this thread since the beginning. This gathering was very close to home for us. Having just returned on the 27th after 15 days on the road it just wasn't an option. We hope to be able to join you another gathering at some point!

One of the neat things about attending these rallies is you get a chance to see other folks rigs, decorating, and mods.

Here's a photo of one of the most amazing mods I'd ever seen -- water filled tires!!!!!

OK - everyone knows that was a joke (and a rather poor one) right. I think its a hose to wash off what ever needs washing off.

We had a great time

This was our first Thor rally. We had lots of fun meeting folks and talking shop. And talking non-shop too! We brought two grandkids with us (11 & 14) and they had a blast--finding a Bugatti Veyron in the parking lot made the 14 year olds weekend. The bald eagle on high in the campground was a hit with the 11 year old. Driving the Cricket all around never fails to keep the kids happy. Thank you to everyone who made the kids welcome, and thanks to Mr. Sunshine for his great planning. We bailed on the boat trip because of the weather (really crummy still at 9:30 so a decision had to be made) but I promised the kids a return trip in the winter to see the manatees on the river cruise.

Looking forward to the April rally.

No people pics at my request, in response to a privacy concern that was brought to my attention. You'll just have to join us in person next time!

I was there when Ed took that photo of the hose into the wheel. We had a good chuckle over that one. Insert your own caption...

We just wanted to add our voices to the “thank you Gerry”chorus. It was great meeting the other Thor enthusiasts, talking mods, and swapping stories. An extra thanks to Hal for suggesting Coastal RV Resort (see attached pix) and Jerry and Debbie for leading the way here. After we soak up a little more Florida sun we will turn our little Axis north and head back to the frozen tundra that is Minnesota.Click image for larger version
