Like I said, I’m not going to get into it. To each his own.

I ended up getting a DJI PHANTOM 3 STANDARD, from a guy on a Facebook group page for $250. I still haven't flown it yet ! With the storage in our 17 Challenger 37TB I'll have plenty of room for a Phantom! Maybe it can keep the Gremlins that inhabits our coach, company !

Are there enough Drone Owners here on the Thor Forum to discuss options, make suggestion, give observations and input as to Drones for RV'ing? So as to check out the RV sites at a campground, scout fishing spots around the area or just take cool pictures and video?
Just might be able to convince the DW that a Drone is a great MOD and/or upgrade for our RV.

I really enjoy using my Mavic Air 2 at campsites. I get great 4k video, so the footage helps to document our adventures. Just remember to learn the rules for being a private drone pilot, and register your drone. Do not fly over people, etc. Hope you get a nice drone and enjoy the new 'perspective'.

The insurance is cheap too when you take the coverage into account.

Just FYI. Not for Everyone...

In case there's any interest...

FAA Safety Team | Safer Skies Through Education
Description:
This is a 2 hour event from 10:00 am. until 12:00 p.m. est. National Drone Safety Awareness Week (DSAW) establishes an annual week long series of events that spotlight drone safety for communities and stakeholders across the country in all 50 states. Drone safety is everyone’s responsibility and this event is envisioned as a public-private partnership with opportunities for all members of the drone community to participate. This year’s DSAW is November 4th through 10th, 2019. More information is available at: National Drone Safety Awareness Week. https://www.faa.gov/uas/resources/ev...ety_awareness/
The use of drones for both business and recreational use is growing across the country and around the world. Assuring that safety awareness and culture keeps pace with drone innovations and applications will assist in the safe integration of drones into the National Airspace System. As the global leader in aviation safety, FAA will spearhead this effort to increase awareness of drone safety culture.

I got one as a gift last year. Have yet to enjoy 'successful' flight myself...usually a tree manages to get in my way. Let my teenage grandsons play with it one day and in less than 5 minutes, tho neither had ever flown a drone, they had it flying perfectly and were monitoring the camera on their iPhones.
