Axxera Cable TV problems

I have a 2018 Vegas 24.1 and at night time we enjoy spending a few hours watching TV. I have had constant problems with my Axxera when hooking up to cable. If camping in an area with good over-air reception, the TV is wonderful, but regardless of where I am, the cable connection is poor with terribly snowy reception. I have had CW check it and they found nothing wrong. They connected through a dish network. I have replaced the connection at RV, and have changed the cable. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how did you correct the problem?

I have this problem with my Hurricane. The TVs installed by Thor are shit. The antennae installed by Thor is shit. The cable wires installed by Thor are shit. The bluray player installed by Thor is shit. The dash radio installed by Thor is shit. The only entertainment feature installed by Thor is the Jensen radio in the bedroom which is rarely used. Is seems like the only answer is to replace everything with quality equipment.

Have you tryed the antenna booster button in the cabinet? On for reg TV and off when hooked up to cable.

90% of the time, that's the problem. Compounded by the newer switches not having an indicator LED, and the tiny button is often hidden by the coax cable fitting on the plate.

My TV reception on all 3 TV's of my 2018 Quantum PD31 Axxera has been great on Cable and Antenna mode. No problems whatsoever. Even when boondocking in the Wilderness where I can get a signal.

Unless you have something different Axxera has nothing to do with your cable TV. Every Vegas I've seen has Seiki TVs. And an Axxera Radio in the dash.

But try hooking the cable directly to the tv, the outside one is the easiest to access. That will tell you if it is an issue in the coach.

Axxera Customer Assist

Called Axxera about cable problems and they made two suggestions. First, since different parks have different cable strengths, try a booster. Is there such a thing that connects on outside of RV, so all TV's get the same signal? Second, the TV itself is generic and may not have the capabilities to use newer systems at campgrounds that have redone their systems.

When you plug into a new cable system and go to the Tv's search menu and you see selections for digital cable then you have the latest model tuner (QAM). Alternately you can go to the Axxera web site and look-up your Tv's specifications and see if it includes a QAM tuner.

An antenna booster fits in the coax to the TV. For your application it should be installed before the splitter so that all the Tvs can received the improved signal strength.
