Looking forward to seeing all of you at Blueberry RV in just over 6 weeks. New folks and a bunch of old friends. No make that special friends from past rallies. Planning some things we have not done before, with free time to visit! Plenty of room for more reservations.

We’ve been stuck here in cold Minnesnowta aaaall winter, but we’re planning our escape starting next week. We’re going to be at Coastline in Eastpoint from the 26th until the 1st, then Naples until the 14th, and finally the Sunshine Rally! Looking forward to warm sun and warm friends. See you there!

Rally update: A check with Blueberry RV resort finds that we currently have 12 reservations. Will we cancel or proceed?

At this time, the Blueberry clubhouse is closed for gatherings, except for the kitchen. Those of you who came to our first couple of rallies will recall that we didn't use a clubhouse back then when our group was smaller. We don't have a lot of group activities planned, which will leave close contact limited.

This status report reflects the situation as it appears today, four weeks out. It is beyond me to predict what the situation will be in four weeks, or even one week. First, attendance is voluntary. No one wants to put anyone at risk, and anyone with symptoms should do the right thing and stay away.

There are folks who are expecting to come with today's knowledge, so even if the decision is made to cancel the event, there will still be some folks show up and get together.

There's good reason for concern, but we are being told no reason for panic. This could change dramatically in the weeks ahead. For those considering joining us, for now its on, stay tuned...

Need to add that conditions may demand that we cancel, and we'll certainly do that if appropriate. Some experts are saying no social contact at all. And if necessary, the six foot rule applies. Blueberry will have plenty of room for us to spread out.

To gather or not will ultimately be a personal decision, as it always is.

Watch for a summer announcement of our early October rally. Until then, stay safe and stay healthy.

Hats off to Mr Sunshine for making a really tough decision to cancel the spring rally. Once again he has shown us the leadership that is the heart and soul of the Sunshine Rallies. When you think of all the work he invests in each of these rallies, you know it was a tough decision for him to make. But it is the right decision.

We will see you all in the fall.

This is excellent advice.


We've had two posts lately that boggled me:
How do I sleep in the bed
How do I eat while in a recliner.

Now is an excellent time to sit in the rv, look around, take notes, actually use all the functions on the microwave convection, add an outlet, add the remote to the out of reach fan or tormentingly placed switch, program the radio, mark the TV antenna dial as to its real position, experiment with movies on your phone vs DVD player, order lots of rv things from Amazon and eBay and cw.

The quote above is brilliant.
We all have the chance, a forced chance, to edumadate ourselves and come out of this as much better and happier campers.

Let's face it: that Florida, or my Pechenga trip was costing you $500 if you were local, $3,000 if you weren't. Spend it on the rv itself instead.
Change the TV you complain about, buy the electric blanket, install the macerator you've been contemplating. You've got 500 to 3000 to do it now....

Yes, I don't have the authority to cancel your reservation. You have to do that yourself. The resort sent me a prompt confirmation.

Just a reminder if anyone miss this, our spring rally is canceled. Not postponed.
