Mr Sunshine where will the meal be on Sat? Will it be close to the park?

Thanks,

In keeping with tradition, Saturday evening will be either BBQ and some sides brought in, or pizza delivered. The group will decide over dinner on Friday. Besides that and the potluck on Friday evening, meals will be on your own.

If your question is really, should I bring a car or your bikes, that is up to you. It may be a block or two to the clubhouse and pool. There may be other things you want to see in Brooksville. Check out Tripadvisor.com to see what there is to do and see there. The only thing in walking distance is a Kangaroo gas station. Plenty of things to do at the resort, too.

See ya real soon!

Oh, and for anyone still undecided, it's not too late to rsvp and join us!

Instead of our Thor, we're heading to the Brooksville rally in our back-up RV.

Hi from Cloverleaf. Well we made it in the driving rain storm, yesterday. At least we can start to dry-out today. Looking forward to meeting the rest of the group.

Looking forward to seeing you at Cloverleaf. Hope you brought along your Rampside. If you are looking for a meal in Brooksville, check out Florida Cracker Kitchen. It's a hoot!

We ate their last year when we stayed at Belle Park. Their breakfast is great.

We're in! Rolled in just before the daylight disappeared. Met some nice folks from AL and GA already. They may be going to Homosassa SP tomorrow, or maybe they'll go to Weeki Watchee and see the mermaids?

For anybody still thinking about coming, but haven't made reservations, come on in! The office closes each day at 5, so call if you'll be later. And if you want to come for part of a day without your RV, that's OK, too. We'll make room. Potluck tomorrow night, surprise guest Sat AM, and we're bringing in something to eat Sat evening.

The party's over. Fourteen Thor coaches and a great bunch of folks gathered for a warm and dry weekend in Brooksville! One couple from TX came 1100 miles, another from MN came 1700(leaving snow behind)!

Great to see friends from previous gatherings, and make new friends. In discussion Friday night, some remarks were made about Thor and QC. We had a campfire in a can, courtesy of our Tallahassee folks.

Our Saturday surprise guest? Thor sent us one of their reps. He spoke for quite awhile, then answered a ton of questions. Then came the best part, he offered to go to each unit that had concerns and address each of them. He did that, one by one, to most of us. He quickly solved many issues, and took notes on the rest, promising to get back to several of us.

Every single one of us was satisfied with his attention to our issues, and we ALL have a much higher opinion of the brand. No one thinks they are perfect, but we have a new appreciation for the steps they are taking to improve. Again, the owners of all 14 coaches were happy by the time he left. He gave us his whole day!

Everyone wants to gather again in the fall. Here's a pic of a group of people waiting for a chance to unload on the rep!

Our first Thor rally and, hopefully, not our last. Great job by both Mr & Mrs Sunshine in organizing it and putting it on! Personally, I got a lot of good and useful information for future reference. Great to meet so many fantastic folks with whom we share this forum. We're looking forward to October's rally.

Sorry I missed this one... Just too much happening in the last 2 weeks, and couldn't make it over.
Look forward to the next one!

Thanks Mr Sunshine for hosting the rally. We had a great time meeting everyone, eating, and hearing the Thor rep, James. Must say, besides you, James did an excellent job on explaining the warranty process and how Thor is trying to improve on customer care. He was very patient with all the “old” folks asking questions and dealing with our issues. Even though we still have a couple of issues with our Ace we now understand how the industry as a whole is being stretched thin with all the demands. Of course we always think we are the only ones with issues. Enjoyed talking to Cindy and hope to see you guys again in October.

To Ann/Carol, who attended the rally, what is the name of the camp ground you were staying at and said it was the best.

Truly sorry we had to miss this excellent sounding rally. Small explanation. We just sold our sticks and bricks home last week. We are going full time and had to get all of our stuff together that we are keeping and an estate sale company is coming in on the 25th to start the process. Our class c is for sale, lookers but no buyers yet. We have put a down payment on a Vanleigh Vilano 5th wheel. Vanleigh is part of the Tiffin family business. Very nice build and great floorplan. The unit we picked out is the Vilano 365RL.
Our closing is later in May and then we take off on our new life. We are very excited.
I will continue to participate in the forum and maybe we will meet on the road someday.

Mr. Sunshine, thanks for organizing the Brooksville Rally for us. Although we were camping a couple hours away, we thoroughly enjoyed our few hours with the group. Also a big thanks to OldChief for giving us a parking space at his campsite.

Traveling Cat, We have just returned home from our camping trip. The campground where we were staying is Salt Springs Recreation Area in the Ocala National Forest (on Hwy 19). Streets and campsites are paved and there are full hookups. There is a boat ramp, fishing area, biking, and hiking. This is a campground that is in the forest and there to enjoy nature; in other words, there is not entertainment at every turn. If you do stay at Salt Springs, the best place to eat is Bass Champions Restaurant on Hwy 314.
