When I towed my 2000 dakota it was nice to have seating for 6 and be able to throw the bikes and etc in the back.

Question: Are you hoping to tow "four-down"., on a dolly, or up on a trailer?
Which is your preference?

IMHO the Tacoma is not worth the tow setup investment being that it is 15 years old.

A tow dolly costs less that a flat tow setup and can be used for most front wheel drive vehicles.

Personally, if I didn't want to invest in another vehicle and those were the only options available, I would consider the Enterprise rental route.
