RV Movies

"RV" with Robin Williams is perhaps the best known RV movie since "The Long, Long Trailer" with Lucille Ball. Then of course there was the old rust bucket Cousin Eddie had in "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

Now "The Leisure Seeker" is out on cable and DVD, with Helen Miren and Donald Sutherland. The third star of this one is a 1975 Winnebago Indian. I won't spoil the plot, but it's a funny and touching story about a couple who are take off on one last RV trip. I give it two thumbs up!

Mental note to self, always check to make sure your spouse is with you when you leave the gas station!

Depends on how you define "RV Movies"? Are they movies where the RV is a significant piece of the plot or just a movie that happens to have an RV in it?

Although I would argue that for Stripes the RV is a significant part of the plot (even though it is a little bit more than just an RV LOL).

A movie like The Blues Brothers is more of a "just happens to have an RV in it".

Independence Day is somewhere in between the two because the scenes with RV's the RV's are kind of necessary.

Of course Spaceballs is kind of unique as the RV is a spaceship LOL.

There even was an "RV" in The Incredibles although that one was more of a control center than an RV.

However you want to categorize them: they're all on my Christmas Wish-List...

Hey, Jamie, no rules here. We'll have a lot more discussion if we include all the movies that had scenes in an RV. You mentioned some good ones. A quick web search reminded me of "Meet the Fockers" where the DeNiro father in law had a command center in his motorhome.
