2x or 3x the chuckle, thanks Jamie. There is a report from Consumer Reports about rodent deterrents, in particular a pepper flavor tape from Honda: https://www.consumerreports.org/car-...-from-rodents/

and the tape at Amazon: https://www.google.com/search?q=part...sm=91&ie=UTF-8

With the stories of them eating thru foams, I'm not too confident about tape. I'll try the peppermint oil.

Mice problem

I say get a cat! We "accidentally" acquired a cat and have no problems at all. We feed him but he's a serial killer so doesn't always eat the kitty kibble. We are the recipients of at least one "trophy" a day and never know where it will appear.

I have heard that just the smell of a cat's presence is a deterrent to the rodents.

We're finding that the peppermint oil trick is working nicely.
Just for fun; I put a cotton ball that was laced with it, in a spot where chipmunks are always a problem... They left!
