**DRV THREAD** Hydraulic Solenoid Valves

Has any one replaced any of there HYDAC valves used on the Jacks and Slides. I'm told by a fellow, he had two valves replaced for repair of a jack making popping and cracking sound when it leaked down. I don't have much leakage and we hear the sound. We know its not the front jacks.
The other persons RV is build several months before my October 2015 build.
It could be some more of the magnificent THOR buying power.
On second thought, this couldn't be because of purchasing as the solenoids didn't fail in the first year like the Fireplace, Suburban stove, the 3-inch lights, Whirlpool Washing machine and ...................

The common solution to popping and creaking sound in the rams is add one of three things to the system. I used the Cat oil.

I edited your title so hopefully you won't be frustrated by MH leveling hydraulic valve comments by those who just jump to the "New Posts" area.

Well, consider this an experiment.

This should be enough.

I found out the Solenoid Valve made by Hydac has a Lippert # 133417.

What I don't know, are all the valves the same.
This valve reference would apply the late 2015 builds. I don't how many years that hydraulic system was used.

I’m not sure what you’re asking? You said that you were hearing a popping sound. I posted the common solution.
Why not call Lippert Tech support? They have a couple of guys that know their stuff.

As far as the landing gear leaking down, that is a common problem and 99% that the rams are bypassing, a bad seal or seals internally. Lots of people have had them rebuilt.

If you replace a quart of your fluid with the Cat oil or either of the fork oils then operate the slides/jacks a few times to mix it in good I'm fairly certain you won't have the popping/creaking anymore & much easier than rebuilding the system.
Be sure all slides/jacks are retracted, use a turkey baster to remove a quart of the original fluid, then top off to within 1/4-1/2" from the opening with your choice of the recommended oils, operate a few times then top off the reservoir. I used the Maxima 15w fork oil simply because it was about a 1/3 of the price of the Cat oil & worked very well.
