38RSSA Washer/Dryer

As those of us who own the 38RSSA floorplan know, closet space for the washer/dryer as well as the need to lift them over the toilet for installation (unless the toilet is removed) is a challenge. I'm looking at the GE GUD24ESSJWW vertical washer/dryer as a potential fit. Has anyone installed this unit in their 38RSSA successfully? Any tricks for getting it in (e.g., remove the toilet, pull the door frame from the closet for installation, etc.)?

Rusty

Rusty,

They took the front screen door off the outside, the bathroom door and the louvered doors off but left the toilet in place. One guy sat on the toilet, put the washer in his lap and a REALLY skinny guy got in the closet to help him set it in place. The dryer went over the toilet the same way except no one was in the hole, he just picked it up, turned around and set it on top of the washing machine.

Wow -- washer/dryer. In my Vegas 24.1 my shower area is as big as a stackable washer dryer.

Wow.... We have a 2015 38RSSA as well, I can't imagine lifting a washer and dryer into that space! Definately a job for a younger more vibrant (strong) man than myself! In our trailer, that's where the cat does his business.

We keep our cat's litter box between the toilet and the door to the washer/dryer cabinet, so he's going to be inconvenienced when there's laundry being done!

Yeah no doubt. Probably not going to be a big "fan" of the noise the machines generate either.

He'll get over it......
