AC Question

My front air works and blows cold air, The heat pump works and blows hot air. The issue is that the unit will not shut down automatically. It will run until I shut it down. Any ideas?

Do you have the fan set to "Auto" on the thermostat for that unit?

Check your fan settings under both Heat and Cool for that zone (the bedroom is Zone 2 in ours). We run our fan in the On mode for cooling primarily for the air circulation and the white noise effect - the cycling of the fan wakes me up, whereas if it runs continuously, no problem.

If you want the fan to cycle with the compressor, you need to set the fan to Auto mode for both Heat and Cool.

We added a MaxAir fan to our bedroom when ordering. Have had one in the last 4 RV's. Great for circulating air and also white noise.
