Any new DRV people?

It’s gotten real quite in here, we must be all traveling and having fun with no issues. Any new owners in here?

Nice. What model did you get? What dealer are you getting it from? Going full time?

We are getting a 40KSSB4 from RV's for Less. Not going full time but retirement coming up in a few years and getting ready to travel some then. Glad we ordered when we did as there has been around 20% price hikes since we did.

We are fairly new to DRV but we purchased our 38RESB3 used in 2019.
I read the forum regularly but often there are no new posts. Not on any social media sites so do not participate on the facebook group.
Love our (new to us) Mobile Suites but maintenance/upkeep is an ongoing project.

Congratulations and welcome to the group. Not much has been happening on here lately, but we were the busiest group on this forum for a while.

Hope to be an owner soon. We looked at a truck/coach combo that we like, but need to get our Foretravel MH sold first.

Hopefully you put a deposit on it and a time frame. With the new going up and hard to get, used are getting more $$$. Just like buying a house. I would sell it to someone with out contingencies. As I have held things for people and passed up buyers. When I sell things mow it’s, first one with the cash gets it.

Ordered our 38 RSSA in March and it arrived at the dealer the second week of July. Slide toppers were not available but will be installed by the dealer when they come in. Also missing hub caps and sink covers so we're waiting on them. Only problem we have found so far is the weather stripping in the slide side window.

How are they missing the sink covers? I think they use the cut outs for the sink.
Congratulations! Are you full timing?

Thanks.
I only know the covers are not in the camper.
We just passed our 10 year anniversary for full timing this past June and have no plans to quit.

I'm New

Hi. New to the forum and new to DRV ownership - kinda. I purchased a 2012 38TKSB3 in November and had it pulled to my sons 25 acres in Orofino, ID. I live in St. George, UT and haven't seen it yet. I got it for a great price and paid to have it professionally inspected prior to paying for it and the inspector said the only thing wrong with it is the ladder and the tires have cracks. I'll fix the ladder but since I'll never be moving it I'm not too concerned about the tires.

Over the last several months my son had a gravel pad constructed and a septic tank installed. Electric shore power to be installed in two weeks. I'm heading up next week to see it for the first time and start spending money on getting it set up and stocked. My wife will come up after it has power as she's not the type to live without air conditioning.

We'll stay in it for the hot summer months and I'm anxious to get everything in place. Plans include a wood deck and steps and I'm sure I'll discover other things once I get in it. I snoop around on the several FB DRV groups, but came across this one an figured it looks like a good resource.

I'm hopeful the DRV, especially this 2012 edition is as good as I've been reading it is.

Thought I would give an update on the 40KSSB4 we ordered last year. From the order date in March, it took 7 months before it arrived. At first we were very pleased except for a few issues. After 4 short trips we had a laundry list of issues to fix. Most of these were fixed.

Get coach back and get ready for 1st spring trip. Get a few miles from house and rear window falls out. Told something probably flew up and hit it, cost to fix on me. Wait a month for window,

During this time we notice a major issue with coach. After 3 months of trying to get factory to respond they finally make contact with me. It is agreed that the coach needs to go back to factory to be corrected. But, it is up to me to get coach back to factory. I am suppose to take off from work and deliver coach, come back home, and when coach is fixed in a few weeks, go back. The fuel cost is on me. So, they agree it is a factory mistake and will not support getting the coach to factory to fix.

During this time we have been able to go on a few weekend trips. Another list of issues to be fixed. It is so bad, that when we get ready to leave on a trip we say, well let's see what tears up this trip.

To say we are disappointed would be an underestimation. Wife is pretty much done with coach and says sell. I probably would, but the costs has went up so much since we bought that we would have to step down if we bought new.

It is a shame that a company that was known for good quality and product support has slipped so much.

Slide toppers IMHO are a waste of $$$. Nothing but issues. Had then, hated them and won't own again.

I don't have sink covers. If I had then they would go in my Shop. Had them on last DRV and they went into the Shop.

Truth is I have Quartz tops and covers would be too heavy.

USELESS feature IMHO.

Have about the same experience.
Ordered 09/2017, delivered end of May 2018 - 8 months
Over a hundred items on my list when I went to DRV for repairs.
