Bathroom door not closing

Looking for some help how to adjust the hinges on the bathroom door, when its about 4" of being closed you can feel the hinges flexing. When not latch it will spring open about 4".

There's no adjustments on those hinges short of moving them, but if there's 3 of them on the door remove them 1 at time , I'd start with middle one & see which it might be out of whack, otherwise something is out of level or plumb.

You can see where the screw head is hitting the wood. I would remove one hinge at a time and countersink each hole so the screw head is flush with the hinge. That should fix your problem.

I had tried adding cardboard shims behind the hinges on the jam side and removing the screws that were hitting without any luck.

You could trace the hinge then chisel (mortise) it in on the ends away from hinge pin. Making it an angle so the pin side is still out close to the same.

I would take one off and see if it folds flat in one direction and not in the other. I remember some hinges not folding all the way in one direction so I would look into that. It may be that one or more of the hinges are installed backwards. Just a suggestion.

I just looked at mine closely. The screws are hitting either the jamb or the edge of the door.

Screws need to be FLUSH to the hinges or you will have "hinge bind".

These hinges don't have any space when closed like standard hinges. Once the screws are flush if there is some binding then place a 1/16" by 1/4" and the height of the single half of the hinge behind it closest to the hinge pivot. This will place the hinge with a bit of an angle.

Personally I have no problem with a small about of bind.

I tried the suggestions without any luck. This is a picture of where the door starts to bind.

Maybe try a local carpenter. I'm sure they could fix it.
