Electric Slide Cables

In my continuing adventure to reseal all of the corners of my slides I am ready to attack the electric slides. The problem is: how do I release the cables so I can disconnect them from the slide in such a way that I can get them back on again. I fear that once I release them, the cables may come off of the wheels that I am sure are in there, and that I wont be able to get them back on. I am now on the vanity slide and even removing the TV there is no room to see or do anything. If I had room I figure just back off the adjustment for the cable tension. But not sure. Any experiences to share?
Thanks.

Are you referring to the cable/bracket at the front top/bottom of the slide face?

Check out BAL systems for advice on adjusting the slide cables. The outside ends just come out sideways thru a larger slot, if there is some slack in the cables. Should be a rubber grommet in the slot next to the cable end to prevent accidental movement of the cable end getting out of the slot. If you loosen any of the cables (they are marked at the adjustment nuts) above the slide inside, you should be able to move each cable out of the bracket without any cable coming off the rollers.

Thanks. The problem is getting to the adjustment nuts. I remove the TV and can feel them but not sure I can move them. Ill look at BAL for more info.
