Broken bearing dust covers/bearing caps

When repacking or replacing your wheel bearings, has anyone else noticed this discoloration on the spindle and/or bearing? All outside bearings, not inside bearings, on our 2018 MS with 5,000 miles on it have this discoloration at the six o'clock position. No pitting but just discoloration.

HAVING TRAILERS FOR A LONG TIME, dust cover, wheel bearing, seals , seem to not last long , i always carry spares and grease, it is just a fact of life trailers are stressed and stuff happens,
