Arrow Time for a new main tv

If you have a 55” wall mounted tv, mine was a Samsung, that needs replacing. I just replaced mine with a 55” Samsung 7 series TU700D. The screws and holes used with the mount will be different, but besides that your good to go. There is a lot less bezel so there will be more room on the sides and top. It is a little closer to the wood desk, but it has enough clearance.

Pop it back off and raise the mounting bracket on the wall. With it so low you can't get at the dust bunnies.

What is different?
TV’s are supposed to have standard VESA spacing for the screws, 100, 200, 400 etc

You would think you would have checked "BEFORE" mounting TV to wall bracket how it would set.

Remember what they say about "ass-u-me-ing"

The old set used the outer most screw holes. This one uses ones that are closer in as well as bigger screws. The screws I removed did not even reach the threads in the tv.

Check what? It’s on the bracket fine and gives me a little more room to access the spring loaded bad. Plus who knows if DRV put backing in the wall higher. I would not want to assume that they did. If it fits it’s good to go.

I would have checked to see how close the TV would set in relationship to the countertop along with the top space before mounting the TV. If I did so and realized my TV was nearly setting on the counter making it hard to clean underneath I would have pulled the wall bracket and use a small drill bit to explore to see if there was backing at the location needed to raise the wall bracket to have at least the same clearance as on the OE TV.

Even having the same bottom distance you would have had even more room at the top as OE.

Just how a Carpenter thinks I guess.

Of course it's always fun busting your Huevos.

That's why new wall mount brackets come with 739 different screws, washers and spacers
