Ceiling Fan -- staple job
Got into replacing my ceiling fan. GUESS WHAT !! Another Staple job on the board holding the ceiling fan. No wonder the fan was tilting forward a little.
Just another DIY !!

If they had applied some PL LocTite Construction adhesive that method would have been just fine. BUT I am betting dollars to donuts there is NO adhesive.

Didn't think so! Staples could have been shot in at an outward angle and would have been fine. BUT not really the proper method!!!

If the staples were angled they were not long enough.
And I have no doubt if they were long enough and angled, they would all have the same angle.
Won’t come down now. A couple rows of gorilla glue and proper wood screws.

Just came from the Factory last week, My problem was a lack of Glue in the proper place. The proper assemble was place the glue, place material down and staple the material to hold until the glue sets. My case the glue was applied to the wrong area thus the glue had nothing to hold and the staples lost the battle again.
It seems to be a common problem. I had a previous problem with a drawer slide, it was attached to the wood. But the wood to wood connection no glue. Another case wood to wood connection with glue but not compression staples.. With over 20,000 miles I'm betting I have glue on fan base.

With my 07.5 DRV and 16 when I received it I removed AL drawers flipped them over and applied a bead of LocTite PL3 Construction adhesive to where the drawer bottom is routed into the drawer sides. No issue with drawer bottom separation!!!.
BTW over 30 years in Commercial Construction there is no better Construction Adhesive.

LocTite PL3 Construction adhesive
I agree. That's exactly what I use for just about anything. I did a retaining wall many years ago and used that on the block. Still rock solid.
