39TKSB3 Talk

We have a 2016 39TKSB3 being built as we speak. It will be ready to pickup mid April.

Ordered thru Rolling Retreats in Elk City, OK along I-40. We made the trip there right after the first of the year. We met with Alicia for 2 days and one evening coming up with a RV we wanted to live in for many years to come.

She was great about all our questions and concerns and never rushed us on anything. In the end we came up with a price and trade in value we were happy with. Since she has been very prompt in returning emails and changing a couple things after the order was placed. Another thing we appreciated that other dealers don't do is send us the final build from DRV to confirm everything is correct.

We are looking forward to picking it up and not looking forward to transferring 3.5 years of "stuff" into the new rig.

Ours is a Mobile Suites with most all the Elite options.

I hear ya there. Don't have a DRV though, just a puny Axis (I think we could park two end to end and make up a DRV!) but we had to move 10 years of stuff from our 31ft 5th wheel into our new 25ft Motorhome (and we did it while the 5er was stuck in ice in the storage lot..truckful by truckful).
The fun part is, though, when you're done you're in a new RV ready for the road

We are going to park then door to door and I will come up with a plank to just walk back and forth. It will be wonderful when that part is over!

Here is a pic of the exterior CinderRidge paint we ordered. This rig in pic still needs final paint detail and decals.

I've seen the photo of your order confirmation. My question is I wonder why they jumped to 2016 already. I'm expecting mine in April also but from what I have seen, there were 1/2 year increments in the past. I notice folks saying they have a 2007.5 or 2014.5. I ordered a 2015 on Dec. 29th. Guess this means I'm getting a 2016 also. Seems strange though. When will they introduce the 2017's?

BTW, that color looks really nice.

One more observation. I went to Rolling Retreats web site and even thier listings of "coming soon" are being advertised as 2015 units. So I just don't know if you are really getting a 2016. Not doubting your word but are your sure? Just seems strange because 2015 have only been out a few months.

I was not expecting it to be a 2016 nor was our dealer. Who knows maybe Thor/Heartlands norm is to get an earlier start than DRV has been doing.

If your vin's last four #'s are after mine #7814 I assume it will be a 2016 also.

Our 07.5 36SB3 was made in 07 just before the 08's came out and the paperwork actually says 07.5 but the Vin# makes it look like a 08 but title says 07.

We placed our order on 1/7/15 so it's possible yours will be a 15.

Are you getting the 39TKSB3 also?

Thanks! I do like it also but we have never seen the color in person. Still a bit nervous about how it will look with the new RAM.

Yes for sure it's a 2016. Mine is to be delivered sometime mid April. I think she said the model year starts around Mfg date of April typically. So that way they are on the lots for the Summer. RV's are always earlier than Auto's.

We are getting a 36RSSB3. Don't have a VIN yet. (at least I haven't been given it) I could probably call the dealer but in away it's like expecting a child and not wanting to know if it's a boy or girl. Just be suprised. I will call if I don't hear anything by the 1st of April. If for no other reason to check on my order. As long I take delivery before mid May I'll be a happy camper.

We really like our 07.5 36SB3. We have lived in it for 3.5 years, the 39TKSB3 is quite bit like the 36 just longer. Wife needs more room!

I'd like to hear your recommendations for places to stay. Wife and I are trying to figure out places to stay once we start fulltiming. The winter months in particular. We love it out west. Thanks!

We have a membership at CatalinaSpa in Desert Hot Springs also are members of Thousand Trails, we stay at the PalmDesert location off Washington St and I-10. A really nice non member park is Indian Waters RV Resort in Indo.

In hindsight, would you recommend joining either one of those clubs? We will be recieiving a 1 year membership to Thousand Trails when we pick up our new unit. However, the region (south eastern) that we will be able to use in that first year doesn't have much to offer.

Look for a used TT membership that includes the whole country. Really do your research. There are some awesome deals out there.

There are pluses and minuses to them all. I would suggest travel to see where you like the best then decide what works.
