D slide seals?

Check your D seals (the ones that seal your rig when the slides are in). The seals seem to come off in the corners. When replacing, be sure to put in a V cut in the corner to keep the seal from binding.
I have found them on EBay, https://www.ebay.com/itm/Automotive-...53.m1438.l2649

Mine are all rounded, not bent. But to re do mine I would cut out a "V" on the inside corner to make a nice 90.

Yup. Mine were much further in on the corners. I had about 20’ of seals, so I cut the loose section out and cleaned it with denatured alcohol and cut Vs to make it bend more natural.

This is one of the corners that I redid. Nice clean 90 degree bend now with no stress on the corner.

I tried 3M double sided tape and the seal would not stay. As you would have to stretch the seal to even attempt to put it back in alignment. As you can see my picture, I cut out the seal where it let loose and installed a new seal with the a V cut out.

So, the new seal comes with the adhesive on it?

Adhesive is on the seal.

Where the two butt together in above pic I would squirt a bit of the Permatex "The Right Stuff" between the two pcs and tool surfaces even. The whole idea is that keeps water from coming in when slides are retracted.

I was going to do that. But for the most part I DO NOT travel in the rain. No sense in giving crappy drivers that have a hard enough time driving in the sun another thing to overcome.

By looking at the forecast.

No begging needed, if they have the space, I just pay them. I look at the forecast and plan accordingly. I think you would be surprised How many full time RVers do not travel in the rain.

Too much to worry about. Then ya have to cancel/change plans at the next place. Oh well at least we don't all behave the same!

For someone like me living in the NW my whole life RAIN is a way of life.

I have traveled in SEVERE, wind, rain and snow. Makes life more interesting.

Here is one example.

If I didn't travel in the rain, my windshield would never be clean.

You know that most gas stations have liquid with squeegees to clean your windows. Plus my truck has washer squirters and wiper blades.
