Fiberglass roof
Does anyone know how much more or less weight a fiberglass roof would be over the rubber roof for 38 rsb3

If no one replies call Alicia at RollingRetreats. I am going by memory but I "think" it's around 500#.
Personally I went with rubber since at the time she said they were having issues with the fiberglass roofs and also the rubber is a 10 year warranty VS 1 year on the fiberglass.

If needing a roof, look at RVArmour, I'll be doing that if ever need a roof, it's a lifetime warranty where the others are only on The material not poor installation.

A warranty will not cover holes, ripping the fiberglass roof is not prone to either, less maintenance and I like to listen to the rain

I was also told by the factory that glass would add 400Lbs to a 36,couple feet shorter than 38 tho.Im going to remove that weight and then some going from granite to corion.

Sorry no idea! I scale at 23K and all is fine so just get what you want and enjoy it!
MC trailer adds little to the RV weight as I am sure you know. I am trying to figure out what to do with my MC, what are you using for yours to tow it?

Im going to go with swivel trailer. The dual wheel model. WWW.cruiserlift.com.I wanted a hydralift, lippert said no.On another forum a person sent the hitch part that attaches to trailer to lippert and they installed it for him during his drv build.I think he stated they did some additional gusseting for it.Idaho tote is another option, a lot more $$$

I have the fiberglass roof on my unit. I have had rubber on other units and they rip when they come in contact with tree limbs. They also require maintenance. I had this unit since Oct. of 2014 and have traveled many miles. We travel back roads and stay at Federal and State parks whenever possible. The tops of my AC units have scratch marks from limbs etc. The roof has been flawless thus far. I will never have a rubber roof again.

Less problems with fiberglass than rubber is why I went with fiberglass when I ordered the 38RSB3, too many horror stories about tree limbs putting holes in the roof and then followed with water intrusion.
