I hooked up my DRV, my bed height is this, 7 inches towards the front and 4 at the tailgate. Am I alright or should I change something?????

NOPE!!! Raise hitch 2". You need a minimum of 6" bed clearance.

If I understand your question correctly, 7" to 4" slope front to rear of bed rail clearance, sounds like you're RV is going to tow nose high???

If so, that's too much.

Do you have pictures?

The bottom of the newer DRV's are sloped.

The real question is, when the RV is close to 90* to the truck, will the Moryde pin box's flanged side plates hit the truck bed rails?

Based on your 7" to 4" slope, my guess would be yes. If it does then the truck bed rails will get damaged.

Also, dropping the pin box will increase the slope and bed rail clearance but you will ride even higher nose up.

So you have have have enough clearance on the bottom...

...While not getting the top too high in the breezes!

I know that with conventional trailers: you just need to worry about the angles...
But with 5th wheels: you also have to leave enough room around the bed of the truck also...
Are there any "Rules of Thumb" that should be followed; when setting one of these up?
