House water filter

I just changed mine at the year mark with a Maxetw-975. No tools required.

Make sure that both rubber gaskets are on both ends also. As one dropped to the ground but I caught it when I inspected the filter before I installed it.

Less then a 10 minute job.

I think the brown color of it came from a campground outside New Orleans. They were on well water. The owner even said that if you filled a bucket, you would see a brown film on top of it. But he tests the water regularly. Here is a pic side by side. Can you tell which one is new? LOL

I had the dealer leave the filter out of ours before we picked it up. I already have a dual filter system that filters the water before it goes through our water softener and into the trailer. I just felt like the third filter was not needed in our case. We are at a park with a water well and they filter it before it goes to the park. I usually change the sediment filter like the one in your picture and the charcoal filter every 6 months.

That is WAY too long between filter changes. With the parks always having water line problems I change mine at least every 3 mo.

I'm with Cummins on that. We change ours every 3 months and buy the filters at Wal Mart
