The insulation doesn't fall without walls, I don't know how it would with walls attached ?

"The insulation doesn't fall without walls, I don't know how it would with walls attached ?"

Some are saying the insulation falls behind the front and rear caps because of the space between cap and insulation.

Simple way to tell would be remove a couple clearance lights and shine a light into one and look into the other.

Please provide one proven, documented instance of insulation falling.

Our front cap and rear cap insulation has fallen. You can pull the lights at the top and it's not there. On our back cap, because we have an entertainment center instead of the windows, I drill several access holes behind the cabinets. Insulation is all at the bottom.
Over time and the vibration of miles, the insulation will break its glue bond and drop in the walls. The little bit of spray glue and compression doesn't hold forever.
Also, the next cold morning you have, take an infrared temp gun and measure the temp at the top of the exterior wall vs the bottom. If you have access to a FLIR set up, it makes it really interesting.

This guy pulled the cedar wall in the closet and this is what he saw. Have you been a lucky one not to have a HOT closet?

Well that won't insulate very well.

As to a hot closet, our rig is new and the closet is hot. SO i'm not sure how much the insulation is playing compared to the lack of ventilation.
An AC duct in the closet would help.

It is a 2015 RSSA.

It's going to be HOT if the doors are closed, insulation or not!

Rynosback=That is NOT a picture of a DRV. Unless they sometime, some where started using wood to frame walls. And added a deep V to the molding for the front cap. No, my closet is not hot.
We never keep a trailer more than 2 years, so maybe. Is it possible, yes.

Now that you point that out, I agree with you. This came from a guy posting in the DRV owners group stating it was from his 2015 RSSA. I guess there is still fake news on Facebook.

The first couple of trips with ours, in early spring, south Texas, our closet was extremely hot. I contracted a company to come to my home and blow in insulation in the front and rear caps. We removed the 5 running lights and used a 2 inch adapter to fit in the light holes. I have forgotten how much, but it took a lot of insulation to fill both voids. Now, even on >100 degree days, the closet is not hot.

Wow! That sounds great. What company did you use and what kind of insulation was used?

Hi ryno. I did this over a year ago and don't remember the type but it was top quality, chewed up material, that was compressed in big bales, and then fed into a hopper/chopper that blew it through the hose. As far as the company, I googled for a local company. The first picture is the mobile equipment and the second shows the operator with the hose:

I was hoping that styrofoam was used for the insulation. I’m concerned with the lights leaking when it rains. It probably wouldn’t happen, but if it did, I’d worry about the insulation getting wet and possibly moldy.
It must not be happening to you. Your lights must be more water tight than mine.

I don't think there's any way the lights can leak.......I hope. They are mounted in a piece rubber similar to a tight fitting grommet.

Bill, it is a DRV cap. I actually know the owner and he said that the picture he posted was his actual cap. He said that he thinks that the b looking shape is just support for the cap.

I disagree as they certainly are not tight in the holes! The lights them selves do fit snug in the grommets.

Ryan I would have the same concern unless I sealed each rubber grommet to the cap.
