They built that big beautiful (new) service building a couple of years ago and now this rumor??? I hope it's only a rumor!!!
We've had work done at Twin Lakes a few times, the last time we were there we had the entire trailer re-caulked. Jay does great work! Can't speak for the other place.

Ryan,
Have only heard about DRV and warranty-only work--no actual word from them.

I bought my rig at Tiara and was not impressed with there service. I have been to Twin Lakes RV Repair and they did a good job. I think the owner is Jay and the lead tech is Fly, I think.
I have them pinned on the approved DRV repair thread. I linked a map to it also.

On the DRV owners group on Facebook (DOGS) a person posted saying that he was the new guy in Charge of DRV service.

Ryan, the last time we were at Twin Lakes Jay told us Fly no longer works there. That was last year, maybe something has changed since we were there.

I was there over 2 years ago, so you are probably right.

Not sure I follow what "window frame moldings" are.

They are called Picture Frames. They are the 4 pieces, moldings that frame all four sides of the front slides and 3 sides of the rear slides. They are secured on the side of the slides by screws. This is my understding why they are called picture frames. As they frame out the slides.

Fly was the guy who originally did repair work for our '05 when we went to plant in maybe 2009. Pleased with work, got some extra stuff for no charge--back then.
He gets around, I guess...

This was posted from Kevin Lilly on Facebook. So from what he wrote, it sounds like he is running the DRV service.
I just want to add to previous conversations that have occurred in here.... Our Service Department in Howe,IN only ask that you come to us with an open mind and expectations that, we will address your needs! Negativity, in any shape or form does not help the situation! Our Crew will give 150% if 100% positively is given! Be optimistic, understand that things happen, things break and or malfunction.... we get it! Understand that we are here for you, not US! Yes it’s a job, but Our crew, Every single one of us , aren’t here “because it’s a job” we decided to have customer relations and deal with the happy and unhappy, because that’s who we are! We strive to make every situation a positive one , even when it seems impossible to do so! I can’t even recall, honestly, how many disturbed customers I’ve dealt with personally, that I’ve felt “ there is no way I’m going to turn this around” But yet, put in the effort to do so, and have done it.... countless times! Positivity goes a long way! We will do, to the best of our abilities to fix it or answer questions! If We can’t, we will find someone who can! We aren’t here to make anyone feel negative about any situation, it’s not our goal! Many faces have come and gone from the service department over the past few years, But I can assure you that I, stand behind our department and my crew 150%, daily! We can’t and won’t please everyone, but we will do everything we can to succeed in trying! Thank you 🙂

X2. I was deeply disappointed with Mr. Fry and his lack of concern for the customer.

Kay Cross confirmed to me In May that DRV was no longer taking customer repairs at their facility. Only Warranty work. This has greatly increased Kay and Paulsrepair business this year.

That's just crazy, DRV is only going to do warranty work in that huge (new) service building???? They must've realized or are anticipating LOTS of warranty work! Good for outside vendors, not so good for some of us with "out of warranty" units!
In the words of Larry the Cable Guy......... That's like wiping before you poop, it just don't make sense!!!

They have been for at least a year also been working on Cruzer trailers. So maybe between DRV and Cruzer that is al, the time they have?
Sounds to me that they should get a grip on there quality controll to reduce warranty costs.

"Sounds to me that they should get a grip on there quality controll to reduce warranty costs."
Fred and I, my tech at DRV (awesome guy) had several of those conversations.
If Kevin in the post above is the same Kevin that does repair work at DRV maybe a manager of some sort will be up his alley as he was NO craftsman at all!!! The "Bull in the China Closet" ring a bell? He worked on our rig on the 5th day as Fred had a previous appointment.

If it's the same Kevin, he was assigned to work on my RV when we were there in 2015. He adjusted the big Kitchen slide on the OD side. One day later and 250 miles down the road. The darn thing tipped so far and drug so bad it tore the inside molding off of the slide ends. Called "Dr No" to arrange to bring it back for repair and he declined. Said the side was now out of warranty and he had a 5 month back log. (Of course that was after he first tried to claim that they didn't touch the slide.) I would up taking it to Lippert in Elkhart. They told me that the adjustment bolts had not been tightened by "Kevin" when he did the adjustment causing the slide to drag.
It's no big loss that DRV is out of the repair business for most of us. There are others that will do a better job.
