Jack Pads

Has anyone purchased these new support jack pads from Anderson Hitches?
Would like to hear your thoughts on product!

https://andersenhitches.com/Products...ck-6-pack.aspx

The new ones have magnets on top to easily attach to the bottom of your jack system. This kit has six, which works well for those of us who have six jacks.

Rather pricy I think. It also looks like they might sink into soft ground fairly easily as they appear to have a small ground contact area. The magnet idea is good. I use clips on my pads to attach them to the jack feet.

Pricey, looks like they would take up a lot of space in storage, which I don't have to spare.
I have 2 sets, 20 pieces, of Lynx Levelers which fit into 1 milk crate & I can add or subtract to adjust each jack individually. I think I'll stick with what I have.

Yes, I actually looked at those as well. How long have you had them installed? Was wondering how they hold up.

I went to Home Depot or Lowe’s and bought a 2x10 pressure treated wood and and stack them under the jacks. I even keep singles and put them under the tires if they are off the ground to level. Let me know if you want any pics?

Thank you to those who responded. There are many ways to support the jacking system on the RV. The reason I was looking at the Anderson kit was the fact it shortens the stroke on the jack piston. The snap pads have some great reviews on YouTube as well. Just have not found out much about the Andersons. Could be they are so new???
This is one thing I miss when we had our Foretravel. No jacks! Never had a problem with the system in the 6 years we owned the coach.

I have 6 on order. We are at a park in Hurricane Utah and there are at least 6 rigs which the Andersons. To a person they say they are great, eliminate much of the movement when the levelers are extended and just stack up to be placed in storage. They take much of the stroke hydraulics.

"Price: $269.99" HA, no thanks!!!

Think about it unless the ground is SOLID they will sink into the ground and it will be a PITA to get em out!

I have ONE sheet of 3/4" Solid Core Underlayment Grade Plywood, can of varnish, screws, "D" rings, PL Construction adhesive and diamond plate rubber padding at around of $120 into the 6 I made. I would put them up against those any day for carrying capacity and mine won't sink into the ground like those WILL.

Well mine don't have magnets.

You are better off not using pressure treated wood. Besides the chemical hazard they can slip.

Perhaps they would sell more if they picked a more neutral color. Ugly!

Very nice job of making your own! I noticed you had your wheels off the ground and no problem with that kind of weight sitting on the boxes. Sweet!

They have not slipped in 3 years of full timing. Plus I am ready to go for around $20. And they are adjustable. Like when my spot is sloped, I can stack more on one side over the other.

Thank you for your input on the Anderson's! I also like the fact that they are magnetic and will adhere to the bottom of the jack pad for ease of setting up. Have you heard anybody complain about them sinking, etc.?

Joe, I have heard no complaints. The folks here in Hurricane say they have been using them for quite a while with no complaints. We rarely if ever dry camp so we are not set up in soft dirt. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but some insist their way is the only way.

Just looked these up (Anderson 3608M) and just might have to have a set. The capacity is 6,000# each. My MH is nearly 20,000#. Has anyone used these in this weight class? My concern is whether the weight on the front jacks is equal to the weight on the rear jacks of my MH, and if during auto-level where each jack operates individually, if temporary weight on a single jack may cause an overload? I would hate to be sitting on these and one of them give way. That could cause an abrupt fall and create serious strain on the frame and structure...not a pretty scene with stress factors.
