Thanks for the cross referenced part number Cummins!

My pads weren't too bad but I didn't want to take a chance running them too thin. Re-packed the bearings and new seals at that time too. New tires on in early October so now we're good to go.

Dan, how many miles have you towed? I would think that the brakes would go for 30k plus. As my exhaust brake does most of my braking.

Ryan, we've put on some where around 25k on the Suites, I don't know exactly off the top of my head. My pads weren't really bad, I probably could've squeezed another year out of them but just didn't want to chance it. Pads were less than 50%, a couple of the inside pads were closer to 20%. I felt "good" about doing the brakes when I did.

We didn't have access to engine brake for the first year and a half. We had an '06 RAM until February of '15, then we got the engine brake........ LOVE that option!!!

Dan

Thanks, good time to do it if you were packing the bearings.
The control that these trucks have is amazing. I think my trucks brakes are going to go 90k plus.

Well, I've ordered the O-rings and 2 new caps, but now I'm looking for Ceramic Pads. I can't cross the semi metallic number over to ceramic, and am not sure of the part number that I've found for the Buick. Still looking.

e-trailer has DBC-250-CERM-PAD, and the Kodiak manual has DBC 250 Loaded to depict the caliper with pads. Can anyone confirm that these pads fit our calipers?

Make sure that you order the correct caps. As the link that I posted had three options.

You will find a lot of HD brake pads are advertised "Ceramic Like" but are still Semi metallic.

Coming from Kevin at Kodiak and my brake guy I have known for 30+ years HD brake applications are NOT for true Ceramic pads.

QUALITY Semi Metallic will give the best performance.

A huge thing is to periodically pull the calipers and lubricate the slide bolts and all mating surfaces with QUALITY Synthetic lube.
