Level up hydraulic fluid?

Just curious.... at work And don’t have the manual, but what is the fluid of choice to top off the hydraulic jack system?

Thanks!

If it’s red it’s Dexron.

I added Dextron III when I had the front jacks rebuilt. If you are low, you might want to add some Caterpillar conditioning fluid.

AMZ/OIL 100% Synthetic Signature Series will do just fine!!!

Just had mine rebuilt and after 4+ years the front seals still looked new.

Not sure as this is the DRV 5th wheel section. You might want to pose that question in a section about your rig.

How did you get the dino oil out of your system to replace with synthetic?

Hooked to truck with all slides in. Within a couple month of moving into the DRV I used a hand suction device and sucked it right to the bottom. Then I refilled to the proper level with 100% Synthetic Signature Series AMZ/OIL.

As mentioned I had the same person rebuilt my front jacks as rynosback did, his seals were toast. Yes he had more cycles that i did but the RV's are the same age. My seals looked like new.

Should of clarified my question.I would like to switch to syn. also.Just wanted to know how you removed all the dino oil,but with your jacks removed you probably removed most of it.I dont know if dino and syn. are compatible.

I did answer your question, I then went on to explain that how good the seals looked compared to Ryans having run the synthetic.

"Hooked to truck with all slides in. Within a couple month of moving into the DRV I used a hand suction device and sucked it right to the bottom. Then I refilled to the proper level with 100% Synthetic Signature Series AMZ/OIL."

This was Summer of 2015 right after having it built and delivered to me.

This last Summer is when I had the front jacks rebuilt. I did RnR the AMZ/OIL at that time also.

The small amount of regular aTF left in the rams and lines will NOT cause any harm to the Synthetic.

Hope this is more clear.

Mine took about a quart and a half of Dex III after the front landing gear was rebuilt.
