Wireless Slide Operation Mod to a DRV?

Does anyone know how to add a wireless option to extend/retract the slides?

I would look into who does it and try to find out what they use.

I know how to do it very simply.
But first I need to know if yours has a display screen used as switches or only actual momentary reverse switches.

I will suggest whichever you have:
Any car alarm installation place. Pay the hours labor, have a warranty from them and they have all the happenstsntial wire trace and fittings and expertise.
One brown vs brown with white stripe mistake and you've potentially blown a motor.

The switches are momentary reverse switches. They are momentary simple rocker switches. The positive in the center goes to a up wire or down wire. If it were reversing switches I could easily used the 8 changes reversing board LCI sells. I have been looking for a relay switch system that mimics a rocker switch and not have to use a separate channel for retract and extend.

By reversing I mean reverse polarity. My switches are NOT reverse polarity.

So I can watch the slides go out in a tight spot. I know they are other methods of measuring the distance but I gave up on unlocking my car manually years ago even though I can turn a key.

8You need a multi relay with multi buttons.
Amazon has many of them with two relays and you can switch them from momentary to reverse or latching with just some dip switches.

Set up one latch as in, set up the other as out.
I ordered one from Amazon this last Saturday because it had a 933meter remote range and was 433mhz so I could add an antenna for greater distance. 315 antennas are tougher to find. Four relays, I only needed it for a horn button on the quad in case we lose sight of it while ambling around...so the info is fresh in my head. $16.88
But you're on seperate channels unless you mod the relay to activate another relay.
I think I'd be OK with seperate channels.
And
The four button unit allows you to have a redundant set of buttons.

Delivery was slated for October 30th, so I canceled.
I bought a single with less range due to time frame.

Or
An aftermarket backup camera might fit your need.
Or
One of those $15 back up distance alarms. (one of these is being modified for a project by me. They are surprisingly accurate.
But
I also would rather be standing there to see the stray limb or cable.

Pic as proof.

I will give you a simple tip. Take a regular yard stick and mark the distance each slide extends on it. Very simple to park and if concerned pull out the "Magic Stick".

Thanks for the info. I was aware of a one channel solution requiring a relay each for retract and extend. I guess was looking for a cleaner solution. Looks like I will just have to use two channels for each slide. I have 4 slides so it add up quickly to eight channels. Thanks.

I don't have time to read through the entire thread. I cut a length of PVC pipe with an extra two inches of the length that the slides go out. When parked, prior to hookup, leveling, or turning the engine off, I simply check with the pipe for clearance. Lets me look at the tires as well.

Mine came with a remote system. Look into Thor rapid camp. I don't really use it, as I always walk around prior. The rapid camp will deploy your leveling jacks, slides out, generator and awning and light. I just think it's one more thing that can go wrong, so I use the buttons after I check out camp site.

I use the stick method and the main reason I would not use a remote is twice in two years I had something fall behind the trim - facia of the slide.

I open the slides about 1/2 to 3/4's then go look to make sure all is well.
