Magic Tape :)

Where can I buy rolls of that magic tape used mostly on the roof. I took the lower part of my door slide off and while I dont have any bad wood (yet) I do want to seal the wall to the floor joint, as well as other joints. Thanks.

Just got a 4"x50' roll from Amazon--$51.90 delivered. Had finished up an old roll that had to have been 10 years old and it was just as good as the new one I used today.
What do you mean 'lower part of door slide'? The metal trim at the bottom?

Be sure and watch the YouTube vids if you haven't used it before--only one chance to place it, and get a wallpaper seam roller before you start, only way I know to get it pressed down evenly.
Joe

Also, when I got the new roll thru Amazon, there was a business card enclosed from probably the actual seller: Automotive Authority LLC
www.automotiveauthorityLLC.com offering ordering direct--might check with them also. It appears that they may be way less buying direct...

May not make a difference to most, but an FYI.

I ordered the same roll listed above and used it to do a roof edge repair on our last trailer. The roll was not a single 50' piece. It was 3 pieces with an overlap at the thirds.

Not a big deal, but had I known I would have made my repair from the opposite direction to hide the lap seam.

Duane,
Haven't got that far into the roll yet--it could be the same. I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

It is really isn't a big deal, unless you were purchasing it for a continuous repair.
Bad enough it wasn't one piece, but had I known I would have put the lap joint the opposite direction to hide the black edge.

First you can see how the wall got a little loose in one area.
Second you can see the wall/floor joint (what I want to seal)
Third you can see that the screws that hold the molding on are not screwed into the wall framing. The lower metal panel is not screwed into anything. There are no screws. Just two rivets on each end.

wow! Isn’t there a 5 year structural warranty? If so, I would think that this would qualify.

I guess that would depend on the definition of "structure"

In any case It's just some glue and some new screws, sealer etc.

Was it from Eternabond with the E-wrapping or was it from a reseller? I've had the same thing happen. I was buying piece rolls instead of full length. Complained to Eternabond and was told I was purchasing from a reseller not them...

For whatever reason, the 4x50' roll I got is all one piece. So far, have gotten the outer roof edges/over the side on the 3 regular slides. Will get to the vanity next. Not sure I want to pull the beltline trim--scared of what I would find?
George, it does look like you caught it before any major rotting occurred.

Not sure what you mean. But, I don't recall where I got it, was needed right away. It was in a sealed package.

My roll from Amazon was shipped by the previously-mentioned vendor. Was in a sealed gray wrapping that was tough to open. Not sure what the relationship between AutomotiveAuthority/Eternabond is, but they included the b-card that looks like an Eternabond real deal.
If you want to order any more, suggest you check out the website I posted above.

Eternabond has their own logo marked package.
The sealant material is used in many other applications with other sellers taking the leftover product, cutting it into different widths and selling it as "EternaBond" tape.
