Ryan, I'm still using the clear caps that originally came with our Suites.

No troubles from them yet and NO leaks either. Mine have NEVER been over-tightened. I think with the O rings in place (and lubed) there's NO need to tighten the *ell out of them.

Dan

Dan the issue is not with the cap but the seal. They use just a standard rubber seal. It degrades I believe due to the heat. I noticed them breaking down in 1- 1 1/2 years. Plus DRV, Dexter and Kodak said the only way to buy the seal was that you had to buy the cap assembly. I found a better seal that will hold up a lot longer. Just trying to keep my bearing clean and dry.

I have the clear caps for 8k assembly, but have not actually measured the O-rings. I clicked your link and ordered 8 of them; hope they fit. Thanks for posting the information.

I trusted Ryan and ordered the same and they fit fine. Coat the "O" ring with a light coating of oil or grease.

Clev, I first ordered 1 x 4 different size seals before I ordered my stock of them.

I have spare caps (polycarbonate) and the viton o-rings that I can't use.
When I purchased them for the prior rig I didn't realize the DRV would come through with much larger caps.

I'll check and see what the count is and share for the cost of postage.

If they are $30 a piece from MOR/ryde then the $6 for priority mail is a bargain.
